Madeline sat in the locker room as she got to the hospital as she sat listened to bailey as she talked over rounds

"You are the first person they see in the morning. You say please. You say thank you. You apologize for waking them up. You make them feel good about you. Why is that important? Cause then they'll talk to you and tell you what's wrong. Why is that important? Because then you can tell you're attending what they need to know during rounds. And why is that important? Because if you make your resident look bad, she'll torture you until you beg for your mama. Now get out there. I want pre-rounds done be 5:30 am" bailey said as alex walked over to Izzie

"Morning, Dr. Model" he said as Madeline looked to him and chuckled at the comment. She knew that she still thought alex was a jerk after all that had happened but she knew that she still liked him more than Izzie.

Madeline didn't know what it was over Izzie but she annoyed her

"I'd better get good patients today. Yesterday I had two guys with colostomies who needed dressing changes every 15 minutes" Meredith said as Madeline looked to her and smiled

"I'm gonna be in surgery. Today's my day" cristina said

"On what?" Madeline asked

"Like I'd tell you" Christina said

"What do you know" nova asked

"I know that I was here at 4:00 and you didn't get here till 4:30" cristina said

"Tell me" nova said

"No. I'm not the intern who's screwing an attending" cristina said as nova to looked Madeline and frowned

"you told her?"

"No swear I didn't your my person I wouldn't do that " Madeline said

"I am not screw..." nova started to say as she walked out of the locker room and saw Derek

"You're here early" nova said as Derek smiled as he stood eating an apple

"I have a chordotomy at 5:00. I'll be out at 6:00. I thought I might buy your breakfast before your rounds" Derek said as Madeline smiled. She looked to the two of them and smirked. She knew that there was something between her brother and her best friend.

Madeline knew that there was a connection and she knew all that had happened with derek and Addison and the mark drama and she knew that she wanted her brother to be happy and she could see nova could be the one for that

Madeline knew how New York and her and mark was the last thing that she wanted to think over especially after what happened

"that's sweet but I've already eaten" nova said

"What'd you have?" He asked

"nothing exciting"

"You a cereal person? Straight out of the box? Or all fruit and fiber-y? Pancakes? Do you like pancakes?" He asked as she smirked to herself

"Fine, leftover kebab. Curiosity satisfied?" Nova asked

"That's sad. It's pathetic. A good day starts with a good breakfast" he said as nova looked to him and smiled
