The Lion King: The Lost Prince

Nightmares and Loss

        Over the next few years, Kopa's physical state became much improved. Although, he would still have the scars on his torso and over his left eye and muzzle for the rest of his life, he didn't seem to mind. Most of Kopa's memories had returned, yet the ones that didn't frustrated him. He still did not remember the lands where he was born, and even though he now remembered his siblings fondly, he could not recall much of his parents. While at the tree of life, Kopa became good friends with Princess Rani and her own two friends, Tamahh and Mkali . Additionally Kopa became friendly with Rani's younger brother Baliyo as well. Kopa knew more about the tree of life through them as well as with guidance from Queen Janna and Rukia. Yet, something was off recently. Rani's parents as well as Surak and Nirmala, her aunt and uncle, and the other members of the night pride were on edge it seemed. Meanwhile, Kopa was finishing his healing session for the day at Rukia's tree.

KOPA: "Rukia, when will I be able to remember where I came from and my parents. I already know of my siblings Kion and Kiara, and- ", he stopped for a moment, "well,  not knowing where I came from and who my parents were really is a burden for me right now. What is worse, I don't even know why I got into this situation in the first place!"

RUKIA: "I know how you feel Kopa, but believe me, all will be clear for you soon enough and when it is you will be able to find your way home."

KOPA: "Yeah but-", he started as he was soon cutoff from a commotion outside.

RUKIA: "I think that is enough healing for today. Why don't you go find Rani, go on!", she encourages and sort of commands him quickly.

        Kopa is reluctant to leave at first, but gets up and heads out of Rukia's tree to find Rani. He sees Ananda and Sahasi conferring with Surak and Nirmala. Before finding Rani, he hides behind a bush, curious to what is going on.

SAHASI: "If Angani saw what she saw, we don't have much time before he is here", he sternly says.

SURAK: "Kael would be foolish to come back after last time!", he says in disbelief.

ANANDA: "Apparently he is, yet maybe not, we must be cautious.", she speaks in a worried tone.

SAHASI: "I don't want to take any chances, especially since now- ", he stops loosing his speach in thought of what he was going to say. 

NIRMALA: "Rani", she says.

       Ananda and Sahasi nod in a worried manner.

RUKIA: "Don't worry, you will defeat him again", she breaks in as she approaches the lions.

SURAK: "Ah! Rukia! Did the lions of the past give you any guidence?", he asks her.

RUKIA: "The lions do not reveal what the future will hold often, if ever at all, yet I do know that Kael will be defeated.", she replies.

       Kopa didn't understand what was happening, but he decided he should stop spying and go find Rani, so he did. Meanwhile, any relief that may have been felt by Rukia's statements was shattered with the calls of a frantic eagle swooping in to the group of lions and the elder mandril.

ANGANI: "Night Pride! Night Pride!", she called frantically.

SAHASI: "What is it Angani?!" he roared knowing likely what the eagle would say next.

ANGANI: "Kael, a dozen or so of his soldiers, western border...", she said out of breath.

ANANDA: "Rukia, Nirmala find and protect Queen Janna, the rest of us will deal with Kael and his minions."
