Ian and mickey knock on Maryannes door before going in. She was curled up in a ball on her bed, crying into her pillow. Ian sat down as mickey crouched by her
"We're sorry sweetpea" Ian says
"I don't like it when you argue" she cries going to hug Ian
"I know baby. But you know that doesn't mean anythings happening. We yell. We make up. And then can go back to normal" mickey explains
"But what if you get divorced? Then I'll have to leave" maryanne sobs loudly
"As annoying as gallagher is, I can't divorce him because believe it or not, but I love him too much" mickey says
"Married couples have fights Anne. Every single couple has a few fights. But it doesn't mean they stop loving one another. Just sometimes, people lose their temper and take it out on the people they love. We'll try our best not to argue, I promise. But if we do, then you need to understand that it's perfectly healthy and we still love one another very much"
"I don't ever wanna get married if you just fight" she says making Ian chuckle
"Perhaps you'll change your mind" he tells her
"No. Nope. She said it. There's no taking it back" mickey says lifting maryanne up and smothering her with kisses as she giggles. He puts her down on the ground and crouches infront of her
"You know, I love you so much, and I don't wanna make you sad. Me and ian are happy again, and we still love eachother. I promise you, I can't ever stop loving that dork" Ian smirks as mickey rolls his eyes
"Mickey, ian" she says
"Yes darlin" mickey replies
"I'm sorry for swearing at school. I won't do it again" maryanne promises, looking down ashamed. Ian lifts her chin up and kisses her forehead
"Thank you for apologising. It was wrong of you, but we all make mistakes. Just don't do it again sweetpea" they all smile as she goes and runs to the sofa, turning on the TV
"Oh no you dont" mickey says taking the remote. Ian watched with curiosity, confused as mickey turned the TV off rather than putting on his programmes
"Mick what are you-"
"You got suspended. But it's still school time. So come on, you can do something educational" mickey says with his hands on his hips. Maryanne looked at him for a few seconds before she burst out laughing til tears were pouring down her cheeks
"I'm not kidding maryanne" he says
"Hey! What happened to blondie?" Maryanne asks, offended
"Go and do some work"
"What work? I was only there a few hours. I didn't get work" she says
"Then I'll email your teacher and ask for some work to be sent" Ian replies
"Oh no please dont" she groans following them as Ian gets on the laptop. 10 minutes later, work had been sent over
"Maths. Easy peesy. You can do maths with your eyes shut" mickey says. Maryanne starts answering the maths questions on the worksheet online as mickey and ian go and tidy the house abit
"Thank you" Ian thanked out of no where
"What for?"
"For being her parent rather than her friend" he replied
"Ye well, I realised we shouldn't be raising her how we were raised. It didn't go great for us so we gotta try something different. I never had a parent so I'm making sure she gets 2. And I promise, no more swearing" Ian chuckled and kissed mickey softy
"Wow. You're becoming responsible"
"I know. I hate it" he huffed before going back to cleaning the house. When they went back in to the kitchen, maryanne was asleep at the table. Mickey hushed Ian as he carefully lifted her up and took her to her bed. He tucked her in and she didn't even stir
Then ian and mickey tip toed to their own bedroom and immediately undressed one another
"How long do you think we got?" Mickey asked
"She's pretty worn out. I'd say atleast a couple hours"
"Oh thank god baby" mickey whispers as Ian starts sucking him off
A few hours later, mickey had fallen asleep and ian was reading. They had got their clothes back on for when maryanne wakes up from her nap
She comes running into their room but ian shushes her
"Shhh. Come her sweetpea. But don't wake mickey" he lifts her up so she's sat leaning against his arm as he reads
"Ian"
"Yes anne"
"I love you" Ian looks down at her
"I love you too" he kisses her forehead then gets back to reading as she plays on his phone for a little while. Maryanne was playing angry birds when an arm dragged her so she was lying down and started tickling her. She screamed and laughed so ian had to cover his ears from the high pitch noise as mickey tickles her
"Stop it please. If you don't stop, I'll wet myself" mickey immediately stopped as she started laughing
"You're disgusting"
"I'm 6"
"No difference" mickey replies
"You still have some maths to do" Ian says lifting her up and sitting her down at the table. With a couple of complaints, maryanne finishes the worksheet and ian sends it back to the teacher
"Can we have ice cream for tea?" Maryanne asks
"No. We're gonna have to start giving you healthier food"
"Ugh whyyy" mickey and maryanne say at the same time
"Because you're a growing girl. And if you aren't getting the right nutrients, then you'll stop growing" Ian says
"It's a risk I'm willing to take" she replies
"We're having chicken ceaser salad tonight. You'll love it" Ian tells them. Mickey and maryanne pretend to vomit at one another as Ian rolls his eyes
When it was time for tea, they all looked at the salad infront of them
"It's very...green" maryanne says
"Ye salads do tend to be green" Ian replies
"Anyone want order a takeaway?" Mickey asks and they all agree. After throwing the salad away and ordering pizza, they sit on the sofa and watch mickeys rubbish programmes
