PLEASE READ

It's for some people who don't know about the growth and development of newborns and toddlers.

• 1 day old -

° Can only see clearly at distance of 1 foot or 30 cm. Rest is blurry.

° Cannot smile.( Only during sleep for first week or two)

°Sleeps a lot .

° Needs lots of rest and cuddles.

• 1 month old -

°They can turn their head side to side. And lift head when placed on stomach.

° Better focus of both eyes . May or may not smile.

° May or may not recognise parents face and voice.

• 2 month old -

° Will look at their parents face and give lovely smiles

° Track moving objects.

° Arms and legs move more freely. Eat more. Discoveed their hand and legs. Grab objects.

° Make sounds like 'a' and 'o' with also gurgling .

• 3 month old -

°May roll over.

° Soft spot at the back of the head would have closed while soft spot on top of head is still there.

° Put things or fist in their mouth.

° Respond to talking. Definitely recognise parents by now.

• 4 month old -

° Show emotions like anger and frustration. Whine instead of crying.

° Link what they smell ,hear and see.

° Development of vision and touch as well as hearing

• 5 mon old -

° The baby may sit and sometimes without support.

° Learning lots of language skills and may repeat few sounds like raspberries.

° Shake objects in their hand and get bored if left alone for long.

° Better at telling what they need like bringing their hands up so parents can lift them.

• 6 mon old -

° start eating semi-solid or solid food.

° Responds to particular words and have better sense about the world around them.

° they start babbling and squealing a lot .

°Coordinate with body much better

° Can recognise their own name.

° Can differ parents from other people.

• 7 mon old -

° Can mimic sounds.

°May Move around by crawling on bottom , shuffling, or rolling.

° May not like being away from parents. Want them in the same room

° May have started to grow tooth .

• 8 mon old -

° May recognise names of other people.

° Stand up holding or with support of objects.

° Vision is or almost like an adult.

° Point at few objects correctly.

• 9 mon old -

° Babbling, making noises to get attention and stop when saying 'no'.

° Memory develops and prefer few people of their liking.

° Can sit , lean forward and straighten up without toppling.

° Can mostly crawl by now. Bend their knees to sit down

• 10 mon old -

° They will start showing their personality.

° Looking for hidden objects, know how things work, throw things away

° Pick up things while standing.

° May know meaning of words. Their first words are possible to hear.

•11 mon old -

° Can take first steps but still prefer to crawl.

° More interested in picture books and music.

° More comfortable around parents while exploring and playing. Seek out for reassurance

° Can communicate by pointing, nodding, waving and grunting.

•12 mon old -

° Their vocabulary probably consists of few words.

° can show empathy to people's distress.

° Can walk on their own.

° Understand sime instructions and point at their body parts.

° The baby is toddler in few days

*Important points Please read-

The growth and development varies between babies and can be different.

The babies height and weight increases every month.

Their food intake increases while their sleep cycles change and amount sleep decreases slowly.

The above information is for basic idea . I have not mentioned every single thing. There are few things missing but you will get along or reasearch on your own .

I will update about the toddler growth later on if possible.
