The school day is over. Stacy and I are walking towards the gates of the school when one of Jake's friends, I think his name is Connor or something, starts coming towards us. He came to invite us to his suppose party happening tonight.

I know I said Stacy should tell me about any party going on, but right now, I'm not really feeling up to the task. But Stacy ignores my obviously stares to turn him down and accepted the invite. "We'll be there" Stacy tells him as he runs back into the building.

I guess I'll be going to a party now.

The same evening

Stacy went over to her house and I did too. I look at the clock and it's almost 7. I better start dressing up so as not to be late. I decided to put on a white turtle neck and have a black gown on it and wear my boots too. This is my first ever party.

I look at my phone and sees the address Stacy sent to me. I call an Uber and I head over there

I'm Infront of the house where the party is supposed to be but it looks like there's no one there. Did she give me the wrong address, or am I not looking at the right house ?. I can't even sight anyone here. I decide to call stacy

Me: hey girl, I'm at the address you sent me. Where are you ?

Stacy: what ? Why are you there so early ?

Me: early ? I thought the party was at 8 and it... I look at my phone for the time. It's 7:47 isn't everyone meant to be here by now ?

Stacy then starts to laugh on the other side of the phone. Did I not get the time ?

Stacy: omg! You're funny. I can tell this is your first party. She continues laughing and I roll my eyes at her even though she can't see me

Stacey: when a party is at 8, people don't arrive at the exact time silly. They would probably be there by 11 or something.

Me: who set out those rules ? I ask, very confused.

Stacy: no one, it's has always been like that I guess. Well what are you going to do now ? Will you go home?

I contemplate the matter in my head and sigh

Me: no, I'll just stay here till you arrive. Please come early, will you ? I say with a pleading voice

Stacy: uhhh, fine I'll go take a shower now. Expect me in an hour.

Me: an hour ? Fine, I'll be waiting.

Stacy: see you soon babe!

The call ended from there. I guess I'm going to be with Connor for a while.

I walk up to the house and ring the door bell by the side of the door. Someone opens the door few seconds later and it's.... Uh no. Why am I not surprised

"Hey sammy" Jake says with a wide smile. What's with the nickname ?

"Hey, Jake, got here a lil bit early it seems" I give out a nervous laugh "yeah it seems so, you could come help with the decorations if you want". "Yeah, sure why not"
