jack couldn't stop thinking about tilly, she was occupying his brain. its not like he wasn't enjoying it, because he definitely was.
her smile, her eyes, her laugh. and just her in general. she was all he could think about.
it had been 2 days since she left new jersey, and he missed her. he would never admit to it but he really did hope that tilly missed him, even if it was the slightest bit.
jack moped down the hallways of the stadium for training, his helmet in one hand, stick in the other. half the team was already on the ice so he skated over there and joined the huddle they had going on.
as they started to skate around for warm up, nico came up on his left side, "what's got you in a mood, your normally happy about sunday trainings?"
"it's nothing, just thinking." jack tried to end the conversation but nico wanted to ask more.
"it's about that girl isn't it?"
"what girl?" jack tried to play dumb.
"don't act like i didn't see you and her sharing glances from the stands."
"fine, i just miss her but i don't think she feels the same way." jack sighed and dropped his shoulders in defeat.
"did she tell you that?"
"no?"
"than how do you know it's true, she could be missing you more than you miss her." he raised his eyes brows to jack.
"yeah right." jack laughed.
"just message her or ring her or whatever." nico suggested.
on the other hand tilly wasn't worried whether jack missed her or not she was to busy freaking out, over the fact she didn't even have enough money to even look for an apartment in new jersey.
"youll be fine tills, if anything i can help you pay for it just until you get the money." luke chimbed in from merits bed, spread like a starfish on it.
"thank you luke." she let out a breathe and closed her laptop, moved to the mirror and slicked back her ponytail and fixed her shirt. "ive got to go to work till 9pm, so i'll see you later?"
"yeah, let me know if you need a lift till." he said which came out muffled from the blanket covering his face.
tilly let out a soft laugh, grabbed her phone and made her way out the door, she checked her notifications to see if she missed anything.
