It was two weeks after the incident at the coalmine and Mark was shunting at seldom junction waiting for the new engine to arrive; he was preparing a train for himself and the new engine to double head down to glan y mor once the engine arrived. It was around half an hour later when the engine arrived:

"oh you, what are you doing here?" asked the engine annoyed.

"oh... David, why did it have to be you and not Jeffery?" groaned Mark.

"shut up you dipstick" retaliated David annoyed.

"aww very nice, you Dummkopf" responded Mark sarcastically.

"your English is still as bad as your personality" said David angrily.

From this the two engines continued to bicker until 20 minutes later lord decal arrived:

"Mark, David be quiet!" yelled lord decal.

The two engines were silent at once but still were glaring at each other.

"I don't know why you are arguing and I don't care" continued lord decal " I do not like hostility between engines on my railway if I catch you to arguing again you'll both be turned into display pieces, clear?"

"yes sir" replied the two engines scared.

"good" said lord decal sternly" now you both have a train to take... now"

With that both engines coupled up to the train and left. Silently,  the two engines travelled down the line only speaking when Mark told him about the stations. The two engines soon arrived at glan y mor where as soon as mark had the opportunity he took a train and left David on his own. Soon Colin arrived and greeted the engine warmly:

"hello there" greeted Colin "what's your name?"

"name's David" replied David "who are you?"

"I am Colin, pleasure to meet you" said Colin warmly.

"same here"  replied David coldly.

"so... what do you think of the line?" asked Colin.

"It's alright... I guess" replied David.

"you guess?" asked Colin.

"This line is nice, I mean" explained David" but it's not like my old home in London or heck! even like barrow 5 years ago, it's just so... so..."

"unfamiliar" cut in Colin.

"exactly" responded David .

There was a long silence before anyone spoke again, until the guards whistle blew and Colin left, soon after that David departed with a heavy freight train, the heaviest seen on the line in years. It was a long day of work and David got on decently with Nick and Colin but he and mark only Glared at each other. when the all the engines returned to coaldai sheds Mark and David sat in the sheds as far apart as they could with Nick and Colin taking the centre tracks:

"so why do you to foster such animosity towards each other?" asked Nick inquisitively.

Mark and David stared at each other and then at Nick. Colin could sense the tension in the air.
