third person pov

The trio walked through their first 3 hours of the day as if they were ghosts, people looking down upon them. Emilies own voice echoed through her head, regretting every conversation she'd ever been in. The more she pondered, the more confused she got. Who broke her trust? Especially considering everyone knew the consequences of betraying her. Suddenly, the bell rang, which meant is was time to go to lunch. At their school, Myrefalls Middle, they had to stop at their 4th hour to drop off their bags. The walk, though long and doubtful, wasn't as horrible, considering there were less whispers. It seemed to Emilie that only her class had heard it. Though, it would spread soon. She walked into the class, everyone going quiet again. Allison fist bumped Mr. Feazell, a chill man in his late 20s, who disliked us as students, but admired us as friends. We entered his class to make conversation more than to pay attention. Typically worked in our favor. As she took her seat, she rested her head down with a sigh, until the phone rang, and everyone stood. It was a dumb routine, but it worked. As they huddled into a very loose line, Emilie watched as Parker, a louder girl, who didn't mind her business, trailed behind her and Allison. She heard her begin ranting to a boy behind the group about how important honesty was to her. Emilie had the urge to clap back, but her heart knew it was a pointless thing to do. As they got closer to the cafeteria, she noticed that
Ivy wasn't with her and Allison anymore, but with Jack. Ah, Jack, the worst friend, and apparently the 'best' boyfriend. They'd been together for a long time now, but things weren't changing. They were sort of, stuck. Meanwhile, Allison was still silent. Finally, Emilie heard her speak. It was the first time all day, and her throat was so scratchy it sent a chill down Emilies spine. "Don't go up to Sky today, we're over." She said. She didn't even ask, but instead just said okay, and continued in silence. Lunch was silent as well, rather than hearing everyone around say Emilie over and over, the name rolled around peoples tongues like candy. Finally, lunch was over, and that lunch shift was sent outside. Emilie walked over to AJ, who was holding a popsicle and some cheerios. She asked for some, and he denied her. Emilie grunted, as the overdramatic person she was. She looked over to Eden and Brooke, and waved. However, Brooke didn't even see, she was too busy talking with Saniya and another girl. Brooke was a girl who Emilie used to see as a sister, until she suddenly prioritized Emilies abusers friends over her. It hurt like a bullet, but eventually she got over it as she watched her and Saniya become closer friends than they ever were. Eden jumped off of the picnic table she was placed on, and walked over to Emilie. "Hey, whats good." She said casually, as she did every time. As Allison huddled next to her, she heard Ivy also follow closely behind her. Eden, as they talked, seemingly noticed what was happening. "Can you guys all meet up tonight, at my house?" She said softly. With hesitation, Ivy was the first to agree, then Allison, and finally Emilie. Allison seemed to be numb to it, and just didn't care. As the rest of the day went on, everything seemed to go slower. But, plans were made.
