ACT ONE ------- CHAPTER FOURTEEN;
nocturnal waltz
Maroon wasn't one to go on dates. Hell, the last one she went on was freshman year of college and it ended with her ghosting them because they didn't own a coffee table. ( Outright insane. )
Her airpods nicknamed 'Kool-Aid Jammers' were playing a mix of Lana Del Rey, Hozier, and Taylor Swift, the daily mix she refused to ever stop listening to. Siri cut off 'Dress' as she directed Maroon to around the corner and into the first door on her left. She looked up, slightly confused but continued through the threshold anyways, pressing the button underneath number '43'. A loud crackle sounded as Maroon flinched at it, the sweet voice she was starting to know all too well spoke, "Come on up."The door buzzed open, Maroon started to multitask with her two hands. First she maneuvered her airpods back into their case, ultimately stopping the Hozier song. The bouquet of flowers the Australian had bought still sat prettily in their brown wrapping paper, proud of the arrangement her and the florist were able to come up with. It had cost Maroon a little bit of money, but the florist ( thankfully ) gave her a discount. She hadn't even realized she had made it to the fourth floor, being too stuck in her head and overthinking everything that could go wrong.
