There was no use standing outside the academy and shedding tears, you dragged your feet and walked wherever your feet took you lost your friend, your lover, your soulmate all at once and nothing hurts more than his defiant gaze from you and his silent treatment.
Your feet waver and falter, just stepping and not processing, your mind clouded and not clear, it took you an hour of roaming around and kicking pebbles before you realized that you now stood outside your own home but what surprised you was a certain Harley parked outside your premises, without a second thought, you barged in your home, throwing your main door open and making the two heads in the living room turn in your direction.
"Geez calm down Nari." It was mom who had a hand on her chest as if calming down her heart. Jimin had his eyes on you for a second before he quickly looked away and held your mother's hand, asking her if she is alright and when she gestured with her hand that she is, Jimin held her hand to calm her down. With small steps you went forward and sat on the opposite couch. As if you are the culprit, you stayed seated quietly, dropping the bag strap from your shoulder and keeping your feet together.
"Nari baby, why didn't you come here with Jimin? The time for the academy has been over for over an hour now." mom commented making you assured that she is alright now and you are expected to answer questions. "Yes I was having some gossip with the academy fellow mom, I didn't quiet notice the time." scratching your nape and giving a small chuckle you make her believe the lie as Jimin stares at his feet in the process, knowing your every behavior and the reason behind it. He knew you were anxious and he knew if he looked at you right now you would calm down in an instance. His hands clasped within each other's grasp, as his back remained hunched while he sat with his radial arm resting on his thighs. It was practically his position of avoiding you to the best and keeping himself mentally low-key.
"That's fine but you sure missed out Jimin's jokes along with his caring side for you." your mom exposed Jimin in such a beautiful way that he looked up totally shocked and in disbelief. He turned his whole body to focus on your mom who was having a hard time controlling her laughter, her face glowed after a long time.
"Mom." he whined and it was after so long that you heard him speak in a polite playful way. Only now you realized how much you missed his voice. Your mom was Jimin's mom since as long as you know him and that gave him the right to act like a son with her. "Aww my baby. I love you too so does my daughter." your mother says while squishing Jimin's cheek but you didn't get time to swoon over the act as this time it was your turn to whine. "Mom." you said suddenly moving forward slightly making your mom burst out laughing finally. A clear pout was visible on your lips which you had on your mom's focus but what you missed out was Jimin's smile and his side glance at your face over your cute act.
You loved each other with the depth of your heart but were afraid of voicing out due to rejection in two different ways. "Both my babies sort whatever is going on between the both of you as soon as possible." your mom's voice made your puckered lips turn into thinned ones and Jimin too looked down avoiding both the woman in front of him. "I can practically feel the sadness of both your hearts into my heart." and she indeeed was right but none of you were ready to take the first step towards upgradation of relationship in fear of further degradation from the point you are already on.
