Today once again you were left alone, this time not physically alone but in a swarm of people who were not there for you, who were not present to celebrate your success or your achievement because you didn't gain any and this moment specifically made you realize the importance of one man who was there for you all along. The only man who cheered for you when you picked out the cherry for the blossom tree at 7 years of age, the only man who shouted at the top of his lungs when you won the hockey match back in your highschool days, the only man who held you close when you won the first ever figure skating competition in your post school summer break championship.A single tear rolled down your cheeks as you walked out of the Academy, alone, defeated and internally broken. You remembered the times you spent with Jimin, the instances when he made you smile just so he could beam at the sight of your dimpled face, the days when he used to come over at your house just so you won't cry alone while thinking back at the comments some mean girls made about you at school and the times when you used to crave for ice cream and he was the only one who would present you an entire bucket of your favorite flavor. Your attempt to wipe off the tears went in vain because your heart was weeping at this moment, the void was increasing and you had no where else to go to heal yourself.
You roamed around, walking at a very slow pace as if willing to kill time itself today and not face anyone over the loss you faced today. Aimlessly walking triggered your mind to go home and sleep instead, shutting yourself off from the world that is not in your favor of succeeding. Jiggling the keys to your home in your hand, you fastened your steps with your cheeks still wet and your heart still beating in despair. A sprint of 15 minutes brought you at the porch of your house with your shaky hand slowly reaching for the door handle while the other struggled to insert the key in the keyhole but failed miserably due to your silent weeping state. With a harsh smack of palm on the door you urgently open it only to be welcomed by darkness and utter silence. You despised this, the hollow feeling in you and the emptiness around you. You called out your mom's name, hoping to find her presence in the house but all you heard in return was a little shuffling on the couch in the living room. Without thinking twice you cried more and shouted out your mom's name.
"Mom!" with tears flowing you threw you bag on the floor and practically dived on the couch, calculating the position of your mom's lap and hit your face straight into her junction of thighs and stomach. That's how you were, finding closure in your mother's embrace whenever you had a hard time. This time you felt her figure hard and tough but your mind didn't give you the right to process anything because the next instance the hand you wanted on you for once traced your hair length lovingly.
"Mom I lost it." you said through your tears your head turning into her stomach more as your breath muffled along with the words.
"Mom I lost. I lost the match. I lost the championship, I lost the chance to prove myself mom." your nose brushed against the fabric that felt ever so soft that you could sleep right away. The caresses turned to the temple of your face and your turned your face upwards, voicing out further.
"But I am not sad over that fact I lost because I did that myself, I lost deliberately mom and I'm not sorry for it. It was the least I could do to repent over the fact of letting something more valuable spill right out of my hands mom." the hand didn't stop caressing you but you started to hiccup at this point due to the burden weighing down on you at this rate.
