Stu macher was quietly playing in his room with his toys when he was startled when he heard the front door slam open before slamming shut

"Where the hell is everyone!" Stu froze as he heard his fathers loud voice, his hands started to shake

He jumped a bit when his older sister Leslie ran into his room, softly and carefully closing the door behind her.

"Les, is daddy mad again?" Stu quietly asked , Leslie kneeled down in front of stu

"Do you remember the monster I told you about before? The one that hit you and...and...you remember him, right?" Leslie whispered and stu nodded, frowning

"Yeah.. you said the monster got daddy, and he was the one that made daddy hit me and put his..no-no inside of me, right? " Leslie nodded

"Well, the monster got him again," Leslie told him, and stu whimper," but don't worry, okay? The monster won't get us because we'll hide from it," Leslie told him

"He..won't hurt us?" Leslie shook her head ,"No, he won't, but we have to be really quiet, okay? We are going to the attic, okay? The monster won't get us there," she told him, and stu nodded before standing along with Leslie

He held her hand, looking up at her, and she gave him a small smile ,"Remember, no noises, okay? We have to be very quiet," stu nodded

Leslie slowly opened the door to stu's room, peeking her head out before she quietly and carefully walked out of the room,stu quickly following her being as quiet as he could be

He flinched as he heard shattering and yelling from downstairs . He brought up his hand other hand and covered his mouth, closing his eyes as tears began to fall

"Come on stu," Leslie whispered slightly, tugging on stu's hand, and stu continued to follow Leslie

Leslie and stu froze as the floor creaked underneath their feet, both of them looking at each other before they heard pounding footsteps coming up the stairs, and they started to run

"Come back here!" Their father shouted . They ran into the attic, and Leslie closed the door behind them, locking it as their father pounded on the door with his fist

"Open this goddam door! Right now!" Their father yelled , stu cried, hiding in the corner, hugging his knees to his chest, rocking himself back and forth, covering his ears

Leslie held the door even if they were safe. She felt like she needed to hold the door just in case.

They didn't know how long it was before the banging had stopped , Leslie moved away from the door and went into the corner with stu, holding him close to her

"Is the monster gone?" He quietly asked, his whole body was shaking in fear, and his eye's were red from crying

A few tears escape Leslie eye's, "yeah, the monster is gone,"

"The monster is gone,"
