I'm in my room, packing, and as I look at my now practically empty bedroom I feel a pang in my chest, I'm going to miss it here, I mean I grew up here sure Philly was a violent place but it's the only place I've known. Mom insisted on moving because of a bunch of teens hanging out in the woods and they drunkenly decided to roam around such dumbasses, who roams around the woods, especially at night but to make a long story short they stumbled upon the pack house and got into an altercation with some members of the pack but as we're werewolves and they're human things could've ended very badly for them which means trouble for us as the police and their parents would want to know what caused such injuries and come looking... as you could guess, that wouldn't end well for either party. Dad wasn't a fan of the idea of picking up and fleeing because according to him we're the superior species which I mean I guess we are. Dad agreed anyway because a happy Luna equals a happy pack which equals a happy life.

"Alessandra!" My mother called from downstairs

"Coming Mom!" I replied

I pick up my final box and take one last look at my room- well I guess it isn't my room anymore. I walk downstairs where everything was packed up in boxes and the other members of my pack were loading the things into the truck outside, I gave my box to one of the wolves passing by and they take it to the truck. I walk over to my parents

"Well that looks to be about it" My dad said, looking around

"I promise, we'll have a better life once we move, where we're going there's so much more nature which means less of a possibility of anything like last time happening" My mom smiles

"Where are we even moving to?" I asked

"Germany!" My mother said, excitedly

I sigh...Internally, of course, I would be writing my name in a death note if I sighed in front of my parents. Not only are we moving but we're moving to a foreign country!? You've gotta be kidding me! Looking on the brighter side, I know for sure my mate isn't anywhere in Pennsylvania so maybe she's in Germany, it's a one-in-a-million chance but I'm optimistic.

It's not long until we're on the road heading to the airport, driving out of the woods I look out the window at the same trees I used to run through, the same grass I played around in with my mom when I was a kid, but what really stung was when we rode past the treehouse I built with my dad. He and I made it together when I was 15, he told me it was my place, and that whenever things got overwhelming I could come here and no one could bother me, It was my safe haven but now I was leaving it all behind and it hurt like hell. Before I knew it, my dad pulled me into a hug and kissed my head, he didn't say anything, he just held me. I needed this, I needed someone to hug me, to comfort me, not to tell me things will be better in Germany or that I could just remake the treehouse...My dad always seemed to know what I need before even I know what I need.

8 hours later we land and get in about 4 different vans as there are a lot of pack members. One thing I can say my mom was right about is that there's a lot of surrounding woods, some much space to run and the scenery was beautiful. We pass a lot of different forests until we finally take a turn into one, it's mainly a granite highland with rounded summits, although, from my line of sight which goes pretty far, I see a part that is comprised of forested sandstone, I also see a valley that separates this side of the forest for the other.

"What's on that side of the valley?" I ask

"Don't go on that side" My dad said

"What? Why not? What's over there?"

He doesn't answer my question and continues with the silence until we arrive at the new pack house, I have to admit this one is way bigger than our old one. (House above) My parents lead me inside and show me to a room, my bedroom, and same as the house it was bigger than my old room. I wish I could enjoy it but Bella was going absolutely feral, screaming in my head and it was really starting to give me a headache

"Al! Al! Do you feel that!" Bella, my wolf screamed in my head

"Feel what? Stop screaming, Asshole" I groaned

"Ever since we landed I've been feeling like my heart is going a thousand miles per hour!"

"Maybe it's because you always hated flying?"

"No! It's more than that! She's here, I can feel it! Our mate is here!"

I felt my heart drop when she said that, I've been longing for my mate ever since my first turn at 16 when others were finding their mates mine just never seemed to come, I'm 23 and mateless, I was supposed to find her a 16 but I got nothing. I've been waiting and waiting, with Bella getting her hopes up at any good smell because she thinks it's our mate's scent or her claiming our mate is near because her heart is racing when it's more than likely just her being restless and needing to go for a run. It's tiring getting your hopes up just to be let down

"Bella, stop it, You probably just need to go on a run" I said

"It's not that, I'm telling you!" Bella pleads

"No Bell, Stop"

"You know what, fine"

Bella was silent after that but now I was sad and homesick, I sighed and began to unpack. Once I finished I was feeling a little restless so I went outside and stepped into the forest, sliding out of my clothes, folding them neatly by a tree before turning. Now it was my turn to be the conscience as Bella stood with most of the control, she took off through the forest, the wind flowing through her brown and white fur, cutting through the wind now 47 mph may not be the fastest for a wolf but it still is damn fast. Soon we approached the valley separating the two sides of the forest and curiosity was getting the better of me, especially after Dad said not to go over there

"You thinking what I'm thinking?" Bella asked, I could practically see her grin

"For once, We're on the same page" I replied, and before saying another word Bella takes off, looking for a way around the valley

Sooner or later, we find a way past the valley and crossed over to the other side of the forest. We run and run until our legs give out, eventually, we stop at a river to drink but before we're able to I feel eyes on our back. The adrenaline finally wore off I was suddenly aware of the strong presence of another pack, shit, that's why Dad told me not to come over here. This side of the forest is already pack territory. I turn around to find a pair of angry blue eyes staring right back at me... And even worse, the eyes belonged to a large black wolf!
