So sometime in the distant past, Void, whatever it is, must have come across some overwhelmingly negative emotions. Like, maybe from the YouTube comment section or something.
Tuff: What's a YouTube comment section?
Multi: The line between heaven and earth itself.

And re-incarnated itself into a planet destroying monster called Void Termina.
Tuff, Tiff & Escargoon: A planet destroying monster!?
Anime DDD: Whoa, now that's a monster that can clobber Kirbeh! Not like those lousy Nightmare ones!

Escargoon: But sire! We're talking about a planet eating monster, there is no way it wouldn't destroy Dreamland in the process!
Anime DDD: As long as it can clobber that there Kirbeh, it'll be fine.
Bandana: I feel bad for the other dreamland inhabitants.
Meanwhile, there was also a super advanced society called The Ancients, (yeah super original name, I know) who we're split up into two different factions; they were the sciency Ancients who created the structure for super powerful weapons, and the magicky Ancients who imbued them with magic.
Tiff: Oh, Curio would love that!
Tuff: Magic! Are you saying guys have wizards in your universe!!!
Kirby: I mean Magolor is technically a wizard-
Tuff: Thats awesome.
With creations such as a clock that can grant any wish or a spaceship that can travel across time and dimensions. You can imagine they were pretty overpowered.
Galacta: Wait, what did happen to that oversized cat clock?
Kirby: I blew it up.
Galacta: Oh shit, really!? You have to tell me the story after this.
Kirby: *gasp* It could be a picnic! With all sorts of food.
Galacta: Like watermelon, and parfait!
Kirby: And cookies, candy worms, popping candy!
Escargoon: What is happening?
MK: You get used to it.
Well, The Ancients eventually caught wind of Void Termina and sent for heroes to after it. Who sealed it away in a crystally prison called the Jamba Heart. With one of the four heroes being a dude named Galacta Knight, who was super powerful. Like, so powerful that The Ancients were afraid of him, and they could bend reality to their will.
