i leave out our room and i knock on kourtney's door.

"just a second!" she say

i hear her move around a lot before saying "come in"

i go to open the door to come in but the door is locked. now what is the reason for the locked door?

"why is your door locked?" i ask

"oops! i must have accidentally did that" she say and i hear her walk to unlock the door

the door opens and she's standing there awkwardly. "what were you doing?" i ask

"nothing,just on my phone you know" she say

"hmm,well your mama went out to the grocery store for me." i say

"cool" she nods

i let out a long deep sigh before asking "who's in here?"

"no one. it's only me in here. i told you i accidentally locked the door" she say

"you're lying. i told you to never lie,lying will get you in even more trouble than telling the truth" i say

"mommy i swear it's just me"

"if i find out somebody is in there,not only are you getting your phone taken but you're getting your books taken also" i say

"i said what i said kourtney" i say

"can emma come over?" she asks

"i want to see her when she comes through that front door as proof you're not just asking so you can act like she just got here" i say

"okay okay" she say

i leave out her room,closing the door behind me. i walk away and then tip toe back to the door to see if i hear anything.

i hear her lock the door again. "emma,you got to leave now" i hear her say

"i don't want to leave you" emma say

"you heard my mom. i'm not getting in trouble again" she say

"can i come back later?"

"yes,just leave for now. i'll call you when you can come over"

"give me a kiss"

my mouth drops open in shock. i'm not even going to ask how that happened.

i hear my phone ringing from my room and make my way back to my room.

by the time i get there i already miss it and i see texts from sierra blowing up my phone.

i notice suddenly my dms are blowing up to. usually they get messages all the time but 100 at once is crazy.

i put my phone on do not disturb before going to sierra messages.
