Review:
I always knew Asano Inio is the GOAT in traumatizing mindfckery after I read his Oyasumi Punpun. Now that I've read this, it did not disappoint but I find it too much! The title is so misleading. The cover almost suggests that this will be like a jolly coming-of-age with a hint of depression AND BOY WAS I WRONG.
The main characters themselves are pretty wild for middle school students. They've done a ton of sht that is very unhealthy copium and would go against the community standards if mentioned. I feel bad that they have to experience those kinds of debauchery at a young age.
Overall, I only gave it a 3 because I was traumatized. It was a nice glimpse of what depression and boredom can make you do though.
