(Newscaster)
Los Angeles, a jury has convicted a
local plumber for the murder of his live-in girlfriend, Marissa Sheldon.

Beyoncé: Blue!!!! Time to go!

NEWSCASTER
A beloved teacher at Bay View High,
thirty-one year-old Sheldon was found bludgeoned to death in her apartment...
(Turns tv off)

Beyoncé: "I'm leaving in 5 minutes Blue, LETS GO!!!!"

Blue: "I'm coming mom, you know I have to make an entrance it's the first day of school!!!" And mom..no special treatment just because you work there PLEASE "

Bey: (Laughs) "ok ok no special treatment baby girl. Now let's go before we're both late."

Omniscient: walks among throngs of STUDENTS, greeting them with genuine affection.
Kelly Rowland , 35, shapely and wearing tight clothes to prove it, comes up alongside her.

Kelly: Ready for the little bastards?

Beyoncé: A bit hostile for the first day.

Kelly: Why wait? It's going to come to
that soon enough.
*Kelly pulls a chunk of drywall from Beyoncé's hair.

Kelly: Prowling construction sites in your
spare time?

Beyoncé:That garage door is acting up again.

Kelly: "Tim's got a hot buddy who's
incredibly handy with "domestic repairs."

Beyoncé:No thanks.

Kelly: "Well Bey, If you change your mind, I'm sure this guy could get it up for you."
Beyoncé laugh's and walks away...

Kelly: "I'll take that as a solid maybe "

Beyoncé: "See you later Kels"

Beyoncé: "For those of you who don't know me,I'm Mrs. Knowles...Welcome to Music Theory "

*Moans from some of the kids.

Beyoncé: "I know. Torture, right? Trust me,
you ain't seen nothin' yet. But can anyone tell me what Music theory is?

*Silence *

Beyoncé: Don't all speak at once... no seriously, Music Theory is the study of practices and possibilities of music. The Oxford Companion to Music describes three interrelated uses of the term "music theory" The first is the "rudiment ", that are needed to understand music notation key and time signatures and rhythmic notation. The second is learning scholars' views on music from antiquity to the present; the third is a sub-topic of musicology that "seeks to define processes and general principles in music". The musicological approach to theory differs from music analysis "in that it takes as its starting-point not the individual work or performance but the fundamental materials from which it is built. Music theory is frequently concerned with describing how musicians and composers make music, including tuning systems and composition methods among other topics. Because of the ever-expanding conception of what constitutes music, a more inclusive definition could be the consideration of any sonic phenomena, including silence. This is not an absolute guideline, however; for example, the study of "music" in the Quadrivium liberal arts curriculum, that was common in Europe was an abstract system of proportions that was carefully studied at a distance from actual musical practice. But this medieval discipline became the basis for tuning systems in later centuries and is generally included in modern scholarship on the history of music theory. Throughout this school year we will be discussing Pitch, scales and modes, consonance and dissonance, rhythm, melody, chords, and harmony just to name a few. Are there any questions so far?"

Class: No ma'am

Beyoncé: Ok then, I'm going to pass out some worksheets and this is just to see what you know and what I should focus on teaching more of. This is not going to be graded so don't freak out, just try your best. This will take you until the end of the class so take your time and if you need my help just ask.

Next door, BURLY MEN unload furniture from a moving truck.Beyoncé's SUV pulls in. She and Blue get out and crane to see the activity.

Blue: I wonder who's moving in.

Beyoncé:Maybe a cute boy your age.
Blue rolls her eyes and goes inside. Beyoncé follows behind with a chuckle

Beyoncé: Alright Blue, go do your homework and then wash up, dinner will be ready in an hour

Blue: ok mama

Beyoncé finishes up her nightly routine and then goes to check on Blue. She peeks in seeing her daughter already knocked out. She turns the light off, closes the door and heads back to her room. She pulls up her nightgown and stares with clinical detachment at her buttocks, turning to catch every angle.
She drops her nightgown and spits into the sink. Walking back into her bedroom
Beyoncé peers out at the newly occupied house next door. A light shines through the SEMI-SHEER CURTAINS in the window directly across from hers.
Suddenly, behind the curtains Female SILHOUETTE appears, removing her shirt over her head. Beyoncé draws her curtains. She gets into bed, careful not to disturb the other side, and turns out the light. She buries her face in the pillow next to hers and smells it. She closes her eyes.
