Beyoncé cuts some roses from a hedge in her driveway when Y/N comes out of her house with a MAN, 55, in a suit and tie.
Beyoncé watches from behind the hedge as they walk to an AUDI parked in Y/N driveway.

MAN: Promise you'll call me if there's
any problem?

Y/N: Don't worry.

MAN:
You're going to love LA!!!
Just wait. You'll have a slew of friends before you know it. Their conversation becomes inaudible as the man gives Y/N an affectionate slap on the back and gets into his car.
Y/N waves as the man drives off. She heads back to the house and spots Beyoncé , who pretends to be minding her own business.

Y/N: Hey, Beyoncé. Those are some roses.
Floribundas, right?

Beyoncé: I'm impressed.

Y/N: My mom studied horticulture in college, it rubbed off I guess.

Beyoncé: Maybe she can tell me how to get
rid of these brown edges.

Y/N: She uhmm died a few years ago in a car accident.

Beyoncé: Oh ... I'm sorry. It's just you
and your dad, then?
She nods to where the car had been parked.

Y/N: Oh. Yeah. But he travels a lot for
work, so I'm pretty much on my own.

Beyoncé:You must get lonely.

Y/N: I'm used to it. You get used to
anything if you have to.
She suddenly looks bereft, weary. Beyoncé smiles with empathy.

Y/N: Well, see you around.
Y/N heads back to her house. Beyoncé watches her go, motherly concern in her eyes.

Beyoncé: Hey, Y/N? You're welcome to join
us for dinner tonight. Y/N turns to her with a smile.

Y/N: Thank you

Beyoncé and Blue watch with amusement as Y/N devours her meal.

Y/N: You didn't tell me your mom was
such an incredible cook. I might have to crash dinner every night.

Beyoncé: You're welcome anytime.
She says as she spoons more potatoes onto Y/N's plate. Her breast swaying with the motion... Y/N's eyes take them in.

Y/N: So Beyoncé, I hear your Music Theory
class is pretty amazing.

Blue: Then you haven't heard her nickname.

Beyoncé: Blue!!!

Blue: Seriously, they call her the "The
Crusher."

Y/N: You think I got a shot at getting into your class?

Beyoncé: It's an honors class. Involves a
ton of work. You think you can handle it?

MY/N: Oh, absolutely.
Y/N grins enthusiastically, ready for any challenge.

Beyoncé: Well in that case,I'll see what I can do.
