I let my hair turn a super light blue because I did something to the water. I try to do it again, but my mom had already poured the it.
"Mom! Mom, look what I did! I moved the water.
"Sure honey, you can try again tomorrow."
I collapse on the floor, and search for the drop of water. After dinner, all I can think about is that single drop. I fall asleep dreaming that my gift has come.
The next day I am jerked awake, with someone screaming outside the wall.
"The whole city is in a drought! Lora, What are we supposed to do?"
"Calm down Sera,the drought should pass soon. We're in the middle of the rainy season."
I peek through a hole in the wall to see what is happening. A woman with wild red hair, is pacing the kitchen floor. My mother is pale faced trying to calm her down. I can see she is trying to be blasé. My mom addresses the red hair lady.
"Sera, take a seat. We will be fine as long as no one wastes water."
"But how will people know how to save water? How will they know they need to save water?" Sera goes insane, looking like a total firebrand.
