Y/N's POV:
After my fight with Maya and the masked attacker, I find myself on a rooftop with two bullets lodged in my suit's chest area with Kate almost crying
Y/N: Kate? Are you okay?
She then starts to break down in tears
Kate: Clint said it's over, he's doing this on his own.
I get up
Y/N: Shit. There's gotta be something we can do.
Kate then hugs me tight, hurting my shoulder
Kate: I thought...
Kate couldn't say the rest
After that, Alfred then talks on my earpiece
Alfred: Sir, are you alright? I thought something bad happened.
Y/N: Something bad did happen, but I'm alright.
Kate: Who are you talking to?
Y/N: My wingman...listen, I have to go
Y/N breaks free from the hug and puts his hand on his injured shoulder, groaning in pain
Kate: No, you don't. We need to get you looked at.
Alfred: Sir, if you're seriously considering-
Y/N: Don't wait up for me, Al.
He turns off his earpiece
Kate: The wingman is your butler?
Y/N: He's not just a butler. I'll explain it all later.
A couple of minutes later, me and Kate arrive at her apartment, now restored after the fire
Y/N: They did a good job after what happened.
Kate: It's still a bit messy, but it's better than nothing. Now come on, let's get you looked at.
I remove the upper part of my suit, revealing the bruises on my body
Kate's POV:
I gotta admit, I knew Y/N was jacked, but I never knew he was THIS jacked. We are now in my apartment and I'm patching him up
I take a look at his bruised chest because of the impact of the bullets on his armor
Kate: Ouch, she really did a number on you.
Y/N: She?
Kate: The masked guy is a woman. A Black Widow assassin.
Y/N: A Black Widow? That doesn't sound good.
Kate: Where did you get all these bruises? These can't be from tonight.
Y/N: It's a long story. I need to reinforce my armor. This Black Widow uses a different kind of ammunition, the kind of ammo that penetrates a regular bulletproof vest.
Kate: You're lucky you were wearing that suit.
After I say this, I finish patching Y/N's shoulder up
Kate: There you go. Now repeat after me: "I am not invincible, and painkillers do not solve the problem".
The dog then comes to play with Y/N
Kate: I think he likes you.
Y/N: Feeling's mutual. Did you name him yet?
Kate: No, not yet.
