Kate's POV:
After spending the whole afternoon with Clint making trick arrows, I get ready to go to the Bishop Security holiday party and wait for Y/N to pick me up
He pulls up in a Rolls-Royce wearing a tuxedo and bringing me flowers, purple irises.
Kate: Oh, thank you.
Y/N: Purple is your color, so I thought: "why not purple flowers?" You look amazing, by the way.
I kiss him on the cheek and we get in the car
Alfred: Good evening, Ms. Bishop.
We head off to Rockfeller Center and go to the party
When we arrive there, we meet Clint waiting for us outside the building
Clint: It's funny. You wear a mask all the time, I ended up forgetting what you really looked like.
Y/N: That's the intention. Can we get going?
Y/N's POV:
As we get in the building, Clint splits up from us
Tommy waves and walks over to us, he brings with himself a blonde woman with a green overcoat
Kate looks concerned when she sees that woman
Tommy: Y/N! There you are. Haven't seen you since the auction.
Y/N: Tommy, this is Kate. Kate, meet Dr. Thomas Elliot, my best friend.
Tommy: Nice to meet you, Kate. Oh, and this is Yelena, my date for tonight.
Yelena...so that explains Kate's expression
Y/N: Me and Kate are going to grab some drinks, we'll be right back.
We go to the to talk
Kate: That's her.
Y/N: Yeah, I know it's her. We have to slow her down.
We go back to Tommy and Yelena to keep talking, but Mr. Earle comes to us
Y/N: Mr. Earle.
Earle: Y/N, Ms. Bishop.
Y/N: How did the stock offering go?
Earle: Prices soared.
Y/N: And who was buying?
Earle: All kinds of funds and brokerages. It's a bit technical, but the key thing is...our company's future is secure.
Y/N: Great. Would you excuse us for a moment?
Earle: Sure.
We get back to Tommy and Yelena
Y/N: So, Yelena, what are you doing in New York?
Yelena: I'm a ballerina for the Moscow Ballet and I'm on vacation. Moscow isn't exactly a cozy place to spend the holidays.
Y/N: Right...so if you'll excuse us, he gotta talk to the hostess. See you later.
When we get away from them, I give Kate an earpiece
Y/N: Get your mom to safety and stay on comms.
Kate walks away from me and goes to find her mom
Moments later, a shot comes through the window, almost hitting Clint
Everybody is now panicking and running
Kate: What the hell was that?
Clint: Shots fired!. We're working on getting these people outta here.
