RWBY - [VOL 3 Episode 7] - Weapon Wonders

We see Matt in the dorm's hall, walking to his room.

Matt: (sigh) That was... something.

Matt enters his room and closes the door behind him, leaning against it for a moment to gather his thoughts, the conversation with Ozpin replaying in his head.

Matt: 'What am I gonna do...'

(THUNK!)

(BOOM!!!)

Matt: What was that?!

Matt quickly jolts away from the door, his heart racing with a mixture of surprise and fear. He cautiously approaches the source of the noise, trying to make sense of what just happened.

Matt opens the door to find- 

Matt: R-Ruby?

Ruby: Eeep! Uh... h-hey Matt...

To find Ruby... in his room... that's nearly covered in... ash-

WTF happened here?!

Matt's eyes widen as he catches a glimpse of a mysterious object behind Ruby's back.

Matt: Ruby? What is that you're holding behind your back?

Ruby: W-What are you talking about? I-I'm... not.. holding anythiiing....

Matt: Ruby, did you broke something?

Ruby: Whaaaaat? Pssh.. I did NO such thing!

Ruby: Ehehe...

Matt: Ruby. Do not lie to me.

Ruby: ... Okay... Promise you won't be mad?

Matt: I will not. Be. Angry...

Ruby: .... Here.

Ruby then hands over Matt's weapon Destiny's Ward. With the blade part snapped in half and the cylinder completely destroyed.

Matt: ...

Ruby: M-Matt?

Matt: Ruby?

Ruby: ('0_0)

Matt: What, in Monty Oum's name, did you do?

Ruby looks down, shuffling her feet nervously, clearly feeling guilty about the damage she caused.

Ruby: Well, you see, I was playing around with the mechanics and I was curious how it works, and I may have gotten a little carried away. I didn't mean to break it, I swear!

Matt takes a deep breath, trying to compose himself before responding to Ruby.

He sets the broken pieces of Destiny's Ward down on a nearby table and looks at Ruby with concern.

Matt: Ruby, do you realized what you just did?

Ruby: I-I know, I'm sorry I broke it. I'll pay you ba-

Matt: No forget the damn weapon, you could've gotten hurt!

Ruby: ...

Matt: (sigh) Look Ruby, I can forgive you about my room and my weapon, but I'm more concerned about your safety. I don't give a damn enough if my weapon broke, but I swear on my momma if something bad happened to you, I can't forgive myself, and your dad and sister might kill me. 

Matt: Promise me, you'll be more careful next time, okay?

Ruby: ...Okay.. I promise...

Matt: Look, I didn't mean to burst like that. You made me worry.
