As soon as they entered their house they were warmly welcomed by a very excited Rubab who excitedly said "Aray mere beta aur hone wali bahu agaye". Listening to the endearment used by her Bari mamma Miraal started blushing furiously causing the red hue to appear on her cheeks.
"Aray aray bhabhi itna bhi na sharmaye. Kasam se strawberry lag rahi hain" teased her to be brother in law Younas. But soon was corrected or better to say interrupted by his sister "Younas bhaiya strawberry nahi bilkul laal tamatar lag rahi hain humari pyari bhabhi"
"Jee meri pyari hone wali bhabhi" Aira was instantly teased back by Miraal who winked at her and made her mouth shut up.
"Aray bacho unhe andar toh anay do darwaze per hi shru hogaye, abhi toh unhe khush khabri bhi deni hai" Scolded Bijaan. "Choro beta inko andar ao tum dono ke liye bohat bari khabar hai" said Bijaan taking Meesum's hand and taking him and Miraal to lounge with all of their cousins following them
Meesum saw his brothers and cousins wriggling their eyebrows at them and passing them teasing smiles so he asked"Kaisi khabar Bijaan?" "Bhaiya apke aur aapi ke Nikkah and rukhsati ki dates finalize hochuki hain" Answered Hamna in a excited tone
The happiness could be seen on his face but it didn't took much time to change into unsatisfied expression as he saw Miraal's reaction because she literally froze when Hamna disclosed the news as if someone has dropped a bomb on her said so he said "Lekin Bijaan abhi toh Miraal bohat choti hai, aur iski parhai complete hone mei bhi 2 saal hain aur ap abhi se hi rukhsati plan kar rahi hain"
Instead of Bijaan Miraal's mother Lubaba replied this time "Bete Miraal ne konsa rukhsat hoke kisi dusre ghar jana hai, humare apne ghar hi toh wapas ana hai. Jahan tak rahi baat parhai ki toh vo bhi chalti hi rahegi saath saath"
Her answer satisfied Meesum to some extent but he was still worried about Miraal's reaction as he said "Ap sab baro ne ye faisla kiya hai tob kuch soch samajh ke hi kiya hoga ap logo ko humse ziyada samajh hai, lekin mai rukhsati ke faisle ke baray mei Miraal se baat karna chahta hun" He said last line looking at Miraal who was still standing in shock.
"Haan beta Miraal jao" said Bijaan and Miraal nodded meekly at her before leaving the room with Meesum
"Miraal tum sabke is faisle se khush aur raazi ho?"asked Meesum softly as he didn't wanted her to get scared but her reply shocked him "Nahi. Mujhe ap ke saath rukhsati nahi karni " "Lekin kyun Miraal, aisa kya kiya hai maine. Please batao I will try to correct it if I can and that's my promise" Meesum said with broken but determined voice when his eyes started becoming teary because he didn't even thought that Miraal will deny to do Nikkah and rukhsati with him in his dreams
Miraal started to reply in a meek voice "Voh, voh na, mai na, balke nahi ap na".........
