African Queens

I may not be able to sing like Annae.
I might never be as poised,
Culturally aware or flexible as Amoy.

My smile, may not be as radiant as:
Zandria's, Kayla's or Nadifa's.
My style, might never be as elegant as:
Tabena's or Nishanda's.

I might never move as gracefully as:
Kentsania or Anastacia.
I may not be as courageous as Nickeyla.
My skin, may not be as clear as Onecia's, Allia's or Alyssa's.
I might never be as slender or neat as Shenelle or Shamari.

However, none of the above
Will ever be able to do,
What I do, in the manner, that I do.
Dejanae, is the only one who can do
What she does in the way that she does.

Though we are all diverse,
We are one in heritage:
We are all African Queens.
