You were sat on a chair near one of the walls at a place the riders seemed to call "Dragons Edge Clubhouse" while Whipstriker was laying down in the corner.

Everyone was about to begin discussing what was going on.

"And your name is?" The shorter teen that was petting a Monstrous Nightmare asked

"You first." You stated

"I'm Hiccup and that's Toothless, that's Astrid and Stormfly, Meatlug and Fishlegs, Ruffnut and Barf, Tuffnut and Belch and that's Snotlout and Hookfang." Hiccup informed

"Y/n. That's Whipstriker." You said

"Should we send a Terror Mail to Dagur and Heather telling them about the hunters and Y/n?" Astrid asked Hiccup

"Yes! I'll get started on it!" Fishlegs said with a little too much enthusiasm

Those two names sounded oddly familiar, where have you heard them before? It was on the tip of your tongue.

"Who?" You questioned

"A couple people from Berserker Island, they're siblings, Dagur has a Triple Stryke and a Gronckle called Sleuther and Shattermaster while Heather has a Razorwhip called Windshear. Both used to work for Viggo and Ryker, Dagur is the chief of Berserker island!" Astrid explained

Berserker Island sounded familiar, definitely sounded familiar, where have you heard it before? You haven't had much interaction with other people for too long throughout your years with Whipstriker, you also don't dwell into your past too often.

Maybe you forgot something?

"That sounds familiar..." you admitted

Whipstriker roared at you before getting up and looking down at Meatlug who came to give him a piece of fish.

"A green and purple Death Song! Ooh! Where did you find him? Is he a hybrid of something?" Fishlegs asked

"Looks awesome, wanna trade dragons?" Ruffnut asked

"I like mine." Tuffnut frowned

"I don't think your own dragon would like you giving him up for mine, only a speculation though." You said as you pursed your lips and raised your eyebrows

"Is Whipstriker a subspecies?" Hiccup said

Toothless roared at and he roared back melodiously.

"Whipstriker is a rare type of Death Song, I've spent most of my time with other Death Songs to know. I haven't seen another Death Song like him, if I'm honest." You shrugged

Whipstriker looked over at Fishlegs and Hiccup before beginning to roar at least six times before pointing his head to his scales.

"See? Even he hasn't seen another Death Song like him." You said

"Much like a Screaming Death! Though it's not really the same." Fishlegs pointed out

"I've got a book about Death Songs if it'll interest you." You grinned

"Books! Dragons! Knowledge! I wonder what we'll find out, having someone who knows everything about these dragons is amazing!" Fishlegs exclaimed

Meatlug roared at her rider before laying down beside him.

"Blah, blah, blah. What more could we possibly need to know other than they shoot amber and they can sing?!" Snotlout complained

"It's useful to know more about a dragon than the simple things, knowing a Skrill hibernates in cold places rather than it travels in storms and it blasts lightning is useful." Astrid answered

"Just like me and Tuff! You might know we're twins and we have a Zippleback, but do you know that we're world class Thorstons and we're able to-" Ruffnut went on

"Don't finish that sentence." Hiccup huffed

"Hey!" Ruffnut whined

"Where is Y/n supposed to sleep tonight?" Snotlout asked

"I'll figure that out myself, thank you. Let's head off Whipstriker, I'm sure you're hungry and I am too." You stated

Whipstriker sprung up and ran out of the clubhouse before you got up and stretched, you walked out and jumped onto your dragon and he immediately took off.

He was heading towards a forest, you'd let him pick where the two of you stayed for the night.

You were still on the "Heather and Dagur" thing, it sounded too familiar to you to even be a coincidence or something.

It was the same with "Berserker Island" for some weird reason, where have you heard about those before? You have never spoken to much people in the past decade or two.

You frowned knowing you most likely wouldn't be able to pinpoint when or where you had heard it by yourself, Whipstriker landed on top of some soft grass in a forest, it was dead silent once Whipstriker had landed there and sounded a loud roar.

After a couple moments, you jumped off his back and grabbed two apples from your satchel  before tossing one to your dragon and taking a bite out of your own.

The six chickens were left in the dragon stables, you sighed at how tired you were from flying for several hours.

Whipstriker laid down on the grass and curled his tail, you laid down on your back while being pressed up against him.

"Hope everything goes well because I'm not in the mood to fight with the hunters anymore, Viggo and Ryker aren't new names." You huffed

You hadn't came across the both of them before, although you've heard about the two of them selling dragons at rapid speeds along with being able to fool some of the most powerful people in the Archipelago.

Whipstriker set his head down and curled it down so he could rest his head near yours, his eye opened and you looked into it before his eyes closed.

Most likely so that he could finally fall asleep after a long day of flying.

There was no way on earth you'd let anything bad happen to Whipstriker, if Viggo and Ryker ever laid a hand on him there would be consequences.

You'd risk your life for Whipstriker, he risked his for you long ago when you and him first met each other so you'd do the same.

He had simply stopped eating for a while so he could keep you company and make sure you were alright until you could recover from the wreckage, you'd do anything for your dragon.

His safety mattered much more than yours, he was a dragon, he'd have a much more painful death if he was touched by a hunter.

Your eyes began to feel heavy so you turned over, you noticed that Whipstriker was already asleep so you began to try and fall asleep yourself.

After multiple moments, you managed to fall asleep with no other complications.
