Kaia waved dd goodbye and went inside the house, only to find all the lights off. She closed the door behind her and turned on the kitchen lights. She saw a bright pink sticky note on the counter, so she picked it up and read it.
"Hey Aya! I see you think you all grown, leaving the house everyday to go on dates with ya lil yea. But I just wanted to let you know that me and your father went out for a date night, and we won't be back till 1 in the morning.
The house is all yours, but I'm telling you if you trash it, I will beat your ass. Love you! Oh and I cooked you something, it's on the stove." Kaia let out a chuckle at her mom's little statements. She laid the flowers on the counter, deciding to put them in a vase after she ate.
She then went upstairs to her room, and laid her purse on her vanity. She went into her closet and took an oversized fast and furious shirt with a pair of grey oversized Nike sweat shorts.
She opened the door to her bathroom and took a quick shower. Once she was done, she dried herself with a towel and changed into the clothes that she brought into the bathroom with her.
Kaia walked out of the bathroom and started searching for her phone. She went over to her vanity and checked all the pockets of her purse, but found nothing. She then remembered that she had left it in dd's car because she was so distracted by the flowers.
At this very moment, she was so grateful that she owned an iPad. She never texted his phone from her iPad before so his contact wasn't saved in the iMessage app. Therefore, she had no choice but to message him through instagram dms.
