Chapter 19

(time skip: at their first stopping point)

Dabi pov

It was about midnight when Shiggy stopped and said"Alright we can stop here for now."

"Alright by me" I said, laying Hawks down.

"Is he still alive?" Toga asked.

"Hopefully bu- nevermind" I said " Was tempted to make a dying in my arms joke but happy I refrained."

"That would've been cringy," She said.

"That's why I stopped, " I said.

Toga picked up a stick and poked Hawks with it.

"He's not dead," I said, taking the stick.

"You sure?" she asked. "He didn't even move."

"I'm sure," I said.

"But he didn't move when I poked him, gimme the stick I'll check again" She said as she reached for the stick.

"Not happening" I said, holding the stick straight up in the air.

"Whyyy" She groaned trying to reach the stick.

"Cause I said no" I said.

"Why are you so boring now?" she groaned.

I dropped the stick and picked her up, "Boring?" I ask as I spin around with her hanging from my shoulder.

She squealed loudly "put me down" She yelled, waking up Hawks "what's going on?" Hawks tiredly asked.

"Nothing" I said, still jumping and spinning.

He chuckled "it doesn't look like nothing" He said.

"You know me too well" I said as I put her down.

"Asshole" Toga said, flipping me off as she walked away.

"You love me" I say back sitting with Hawks.

Hawks leaned against me laying his head on my shoulder "how long was I out?" he asked.

"Couldn't tell yah" I said.

"Did you carry me all the way here? You could've woken me up" He rambled.

"Nah, I'll let you sleep," I said.

He smiled and climbed onto my lap "Thanks Tou" he said.

"No problem, '' I said.

He glanced down to my lips and leaned in slightly.

I leaned in and connected our lips.

He wrapped his arms around my neck deepening the kiss.

I pulled back "Watch yourself you still have a bet" I said.

"I know," he said, leaning in again.

"Alright" I said, meeting him in the middle.

He pulled himself closer, kissing me passionately.

I kissed back holding the small of his back.

He licked my bottom lip trying to get a little more from the kiss.

I kept my mouth closed. I pulled back, breaking the kiss.

"Rude" he said as he laid his head on my shoulder.

"Hey I'll let you continue but there is a point where you lose the bet.'' I said.

"Well at what point do I lose?" He asked.
