Beautiful

Your defeat was felt that day

When the moon lost its way

I cried for you I promise I did

All alone in the corner while I hid

From the moonlight I did creep

But upon your return I collapsed in a heap

For every action let up to this

Nothing hurt more than deaths kiss

You reminisce about times

Where you were youthful and beautiful

But my dear you will be born again

And be just a beautiful as you were

Because memories of looks can fade

But your inner beauty always shines through.

Background Story:

Based half on the musical cats, half on an elderly man telling his husband he's still beautiful. Yay for the gays.

Song choice was like the best idea I ever had I mean I totally forgot to include a musical in this little poetry book so here you go.

Hope all of you have someone to call your wrinkly faces beautiful.
