Lonely sat in her puffy skirt on the side lines
Eyes blaring at Loner on the opposite side
Their feet begin melancholy twitching
Both craving the sweaty rhythmic dancing
The dance is defeated early
People pile out of the packed place
Lonely sits there with her puffy skirt
Forlorn would describe her face
Loner desperately clung to the seat
Wishing he'd asked her to dance
Seeing her in the parking lot
He seized his chance
Loner asked Lonely to dance
She said yes, they began to prance
All around the parking lot
Music blaring from Loner's cell phone
All because, he took a chance
And asked his crush to dance.
They became more than Loner and Lonely
They became
Lovers

Background Story:
Two teenagers at a dance, the guy waits until they've both lost hope and finally plucks up the courage to ask her to dance. Sorry just really needed another cute couple/romance poem. Hope you're not sick of them, thanks for sticking with me.
Song just really fit into the poem so well, Orla Gartland is and Irish singer and she's actually pretty good. This is my favourite song of hers.
Hope you all pluck up the courage to ask that special someone out!
