~ DEBUT SONGS PART 2 ~

So this is just my opinions on the rest of the songs on debut.

STAY BEAUTIFUL:

Favourite line: 'if you and I are a story that never gets told.'

Meaning: This song was about someone who Taylor liked but never actually dated. She was inspired to write this song by observation.

Opinion: I really like this song. I don't hear many people talking about it, but I think it's a really cute and fun song, and I really like it.

SHOULD'VE SAID NO:

Favourite line: 'you say that the past is the past, you need one chance.'

Meaning: This song is about someone who Taylor was in a relationship with who cheated on her.

Opinion: I LOVE THIS SONG. I think lots of people do, and for good reason. This song is angsty, fast and honestly I just love it.

MARY'S SONG (OH MY MY MY):

Favourite line: 'I looked at you like the stars that shined.'

Meaning: This song is about Taylor's neighbours, and old couple who had known each other since they were kids.

Opinion: Although this song isn't my favourite, I do like it. I don't have much to say about it to be honest, but yeah, I like it.

OUR SONG:

Favourite line: 'I've heard every album, listened to the radio, waiting for something to come along that was as good as our song.'

Meaning: Taylor wrote this song for a talent show. It's about her first boyfriend, Drew Dunlop.

Opinion: I'm pretty sure everyone likes this song. I don't know if it's my favourite on the album, but it's definitely top three. It's just so good (I'm running out of things to say about the songs agh)

I'M ONLY ME WHEN I'M WITH YOU:

Favourite line: 'you and I are painting pictures in the sky.'

Meaning: This song is about Taylor's best friend, Abigail, and how they know each other so well and can be themselves around each other.

Opinion: I really love this song. I love how upbeat it is, and I love how cute the lyrics are. I don't hear many people talking about it though.

INVISIBLE:

Favourite line: 'there's a fire inside of you that can't help but shine through, but she's never gonna see the light no matter what you do.'

Meaning: This song is about someone who Taylor liked who she felt would never notice her.

Opinion: Now I think about it, I actually really like this song. It's not my favourite, but it's definitely relatable and I like it more than I originally thought I did.

A PERFECTLY GOOD HEART:

Favourite line: 'why would you wanna make the very first scar?'

Meaning: This song is about Taylor's first experience of heartbreak.

Opinion: I'm gonna be honest... I don't like this song that much. Don't get me wrong, it is good, but it's just not one of my favourites. I don't know if that's an unpopular opinion or not, but yeah.
