That evening Aiden, Lake, Rosa and James had arranged to go out in 4, after dinner they went to the square to get an ice cream and wandered around the city. They returned before nine since there was a curfew at their school, and since none of them had plans to go to bed yet, they stayed in Aiden and James' room to see a movie.

During that scene Lake and Rosa held hands, they weren't engaged and didn't have feelings for each other yet, but in that moment they felt like they did; instead James and Aiden just exchanged a look.

After that scene Aiden felt sleepy, so he got into a comfortable position to sleep. But as soon as he closed his eyes he was jolted by James

James 《you dare to sleep and I will kill you》
Aiden 《What? Now i can't sleep anymore?》
James 《 bro, you keep choosing boring comedies saying you absolutely don't want to see anything else and then you always fall asleep》

Aiden had turned away

James 《oh no》

It shook him again, and again, every time he closed his eyes. Eventually Aiden got so tired that he fell asleep as soon as he closed his eyes. James had given up on it

It was 1am and Aiden and Rosa were already asleep while James and Lake stayed awake. James Turned off the TV and, hesitating a little, picked Aiden up and carried him to bed, tucking him in like a baby, and left the two girls to sleep on the couch

Aiden had just said goodbye to Lake who was leaving the classroom leaving him and James alone. The classroom was illuminated by a warm light, it was early morning, the classroom seemed normal but the atmosphere was very unreal and strange, covered by a pleasant feeling of drowsiness

Aiden didn't understand anything, he was just staring at James without explanation. The two boys just got close maintaining eye contact as soon as they were close enough, Aiden took James's face in his hands and James placed his on Aiden's hips. They started kissing slowly and closing their eyes. They started touching a bit and panting, then just when it got more intense Aiden woke up with a start and gasped, his eyes were wide and he didn't understand why he was dreaming that.
He shook his head trying to forget but of course I couldn't. Her movements woke James who turned on the bedside light

James 《 Who wakes up at 3 am for dreams now?》

Aiden's eyes widened again at that voice and he looked at James red-faced, as if he knew what he was dreaming or was reading his mind. Then he turned away

Aiden 《sleep, idiot》

James looked at him and then burst out laughing to make fun of him. He turned off the light and put the blanket back on himself, going back to sleep

Aiden couldn't sleep a wink for the rest of the night and when morning came he got up very early and went immediately to Lake who was still sleeping on the sofa. Then Aiden shook her awake

Aiden 《Lake, wake up》
Lake 《mmm why are you screaming it's the middle of the night》
Aiden 《no, it's 6 am》
Lake 《is the same》

Aiden sighed

Aiden 《Listen, Lake, can I ask you something?》
Lake 《Yes. i let Riya copy my homework, again. Shut up now》
Aiden 《not this》
Lake 《no then, I'm too tired for questions, you didn't let me sleep! it felt all》
