I curse under my breath.

Peeta's the guy you would be weirded out by in school. He's kind of quiet but his father is the baker and runs the bakery in the rich part of 12.

He steadily drifts onto the stage and wipes his ashy, blond hair out of his crystal blue eyes and takes a breath.

The mayor finishes the dreary Treaty of Treason and motions for Peeta and Katniss to shake hands. He squeezes her hand and they turn back to the crowd as the anthem of Panem fills the square.

Though Dark may fall

Through darkness light will shine

As they do believe

The darkness is the light

One horn of plenty for us all.....

I despise that anthem. It talks about how "light will shine through the darkness", I mean, come on! That only happens in the Capitol and their bubbly attitudes while the rest of the districts are poor and starving. Talking about how "The darkness is the light"......

The moment the anthem ends, Katniss and Peeta are taken by the peacekeepers. We are then free to go back home.

Katniss's mother buries her face in her hand and Prim stands with tear-stained cheeks with a blank look in her eyes.

I hug her to my chest and lead them back home.
