i knew something was up.

emily pov
paige and i head to the bathroom. when we're about to wash our hands we accidentally bump into each other which makes me blush.
"oh, sorry," i say
"i guess we have a habit of bumping into each other," she says glancing back and forth from my eyes to my lips.
"yeah, i guess we do."
she stares into my eyes for another second before saying, "go on a date with me."
"huh," i say
"will you go on a date with me?" she starts rambling, "it's just you make me feel some kind of way and i think you feel it too but i don't even know if your gay and it's cool if you don't-"
"yes," i say blushing.
"yes?" she says back.
"yes, i'll go on a date with you."
"cool," she says blushing.
"yeah, cool," i say as we start heading back to the table. jalynn asks, "why are y'all blushing what happened?"
paige and i look at each other and start laughing.
"nothing," i say quickly.

time skip to evening

i'm chilling in my dorm when i get a text

so, when are we having this date??

emily
what're you doing tomorrow night?

paige
i've got practice till six but nothing after

emily
does 7:30 work?

paige
yeah that works :)

okay cool, see you tomorrow :)

"guess what," i say to jalynn.
"what?"
"i have a date with paige tomorrow!"
"you're joking! no way! i'm so excited for you!"
"i'm so excited too! she actually asked me when we went for coffee this morning. that's why we were blushing."
"omg i knew something was up with you two."
