( A/n: Two Giants Part 3 )
Onyx and the riders looked through the woods, the riders were following Onyx as he was using his knowledge to track down the Boneknappers. The group soon got to the cove and watched the two Boneknappers in awe from above.
Fishlegs: ( whispers: ) No, way... Boneknappers do exist. Legend says that their roar is so fierce, it can melt the flesh right off your bones!
The older Boneknapper tried to roar to call for help, but no sound came out.
Onyx: It appears that they don't have a roar at all.
Fishlegs: Huh. Strange...
Astrid: Guys, look.
The Riders and Onyx saw that the wounded Boneknapper, and Onyx quickly noticed how bad the young Boneknapper's injury was.
Onyx: ( silently, to the riders: ) We need to get that dragon trap off of his leg, the wound won't properly and will get infected if we don't because the trap is keeping the wound open.
Hiccup: Okay, Onyx, what do you need to heal it-
Meryl: He.
Onyx: Meryl's right. The scent of the two tells me and Meryl that both Knappers are male and are father and son.
Fishlegs: He must've come to Berk for his son, and is refusing to leave his side. Aw...
Astrid: Onyx. What can we do to help?
Onyx thinks for a moment before turning to the riders.
Onyx: Snotlout, you and the twins get some fish for the Knappers. Fishlegs, bandages and a lot of them. Hiccup and Meryl, get me some lavender, yarrow, and echinacea. Astrid, you are coming with me to get the rest of the stuff we need to treat that wound. And whatever we do, none of us say a single word to Gobber. Let's go, every minute that trap keeps the wound open, the more time for the wound to become infected. Meet back here ( points to the ground ), when we got everything we need.
( Slight Time Skip, with Onyx and Astrid, at Onyx's den )
Onyx opened a secret compartment in the den walls next to the work desk, revealing the hidden shelf of various jars of various herbs and a mortar and pestle.
Astrid: Should I even ask how many hidden shelves or stuff you have in this place?
Onyx: I have twenty hidden shelves filled with preparing tools and herbs, amd already prepared dragon medicines for all kinds of illnesses...
Astrid: ( impressed ) Wow.... You're probably the best and only dragon healer on Berk.
Onyx: Yeah. Okay, Astrid, I need you to hold some jars of herbs that we need. The reason why I sent Hiccup and Meryl to get the lavender, yarrow, and echinacea is because I ran out of them yesterday.
Onyx then hands Astrid three jars of herbs, Astrid couldn't tell what kind. Onyx then grabs the mortar and pestle, before he opened another hidden shelf and pulled out a small bucket and a straight, smooth stick.
Astrid: What are those for?
Onyx: The mortar and pestle are for grinding up the lavender, yarrow, and echinacea to powder. The bucket is going to be filled with water, I'll put the herbs in the bucket and stir it before soaking the bandages in the water to soak up the healing properties that's within the herbs.
Astrid: Where did you learn this stuff...?
Onyx: I found and read a lot of books about dragons and healing, you would be surprised how little the difference there is of the human and dragon immune system. Now let's go back to the cove, and wait for the others.
( With Hiccup and Meryl )
Goofball was playing with Toothless while Meryl and Hiccup were looking for the last flower they needed to find.
Hiccup: Okay, we have the lavender and the yarrow. Meryl, did Onyx say anything about what a echinacea is?
Meryl: It's a pink flower with cone shaped petals. I remember seeing some here- Wait, where's Evergreen?
Evergreen jumped out of a bush with a bunch of pink cone shaped petaled flowers in her mouth and she dropped the flowers in front of Hiccup and Meryl, showing the flowers she'd found to them with a purr.
Meryl: She found them!
Hiccup: Good girl, Evergreen.
Evergreen's tail wagged happily.
( With Fishlegs )
Fishlegs was at Gothi's to get the bandages.
Fishlegs: Hey, uh, Gothi, is it okay if I borrow some bandages?
Gothi writes on the ground with her stick and looked at Fishlegs with a raised brow.
Fishlegs: ( looks at what she wrote ) Oh, why do I need them? Um, you see, Onyx sent me to get some because we found a wounded dragon in the woods and he ran out...
Gothi then writes in the ground with her stick in response.
Fishlegs: Oh, thank you, Gothi. Thank you, thank you.
( With Gobber )
Gobber was at his shop, looking for Onyx as he hadn't seen him all day.
Gobber: Where could have he gone? And how did I lose a Scalewalker that's taller than any of the teens on Berk?
Gobber then sees Snotlout and the twins on their dragons and flying over Berk to the woods carrying four big baskets.
Gobber: What are they up to? Oh, I have a bad feeling about this...
