Quest For Identity

"O lovely maiden, who am I"
I question my reflection,
In search for answers
In a quest for identity.

The glory of beauty is to find it,
To find the beauty in one's heart,
Not so perfect but so beautiful
Not so flawless but so many scars.

"Hey persona, who am I"
I question my masked face,
With hope to face my other faces
With hope to face - off.

The outer persona is different,
I am not who I am
What is my individuality?
What makes me 'me' ?

We keep searching everywhere,
We forget where to search,
'Til we find our real self
'Til we lose ourselves, in the quest for  identity.
