Ch 5

(Taeyong's Pov)

A few hours later I wake up to knocking on my door. Rubbing my eyes I reluctantly climb out of bed and head for the door opening it to see Johnny standing there. "Sorry I didn't mean to wake you." I wave him off before looking at the file in his hand. "Is that the information I asked for?" He nods handing the file over to me and I motion for him to come in I heading over to the small desk I have on the side of my room. I then open the file looking at the picture of the young omega I helped with a young girl. "His name is Park Kaelan and that's his little sister Reese who's a beta. Their parents died in a car accident three years ago and apparently their grandparents moved here to take care of them but their grandfather died a year into moving here so their grandmother got full custody." I hum while looking through all the different information. "It says here he has two jobs." Johnny nods. "Yeah he works at a cafe during the day and a convenience store all afternoon and night." I immediately frown looking at his work times. "He doesn't get off until midnight? And he has to go through some pretty bad alleyways to get home that's definitely not safe for an omega." Johnny gives me a curious look. "Why are you so concerned with this guy?" I immediately shrug it off. "I just don't like seeing omega's mistreated or anything. And it seems like his grandmother is mistreating him. Probably his sister too." He raises an eyebrow at me. "And how do you know this? Did you see her mistreat them?" I immediately frown. "No but he was left out all night with no way inside." Johnny shrugs. "Maybe he forgot his keys and didn't wanna wake anyone up." I raise an eyebrow at him. "He was talking about how his grandmother was evil for a so called lock rule." Johnny shrugs. "I have no idea man." I shake my head putting the file away before heading to my closet. "I'm gonna go get a coffee. You want anything?" He shakes his head no before he leaves to give me privacy to change. Once I'm in some street clothes I make sure to put my gun in a holster at my hip before quickly covering it with my shirt so it can't be seen. I then grab my wallet and head downstairs bypassing a few of the other mafia members before I head out of the large mansion like house. Looking around I take a breath before starting to walk down the street to a pretty popular cafe that the boys have been visiting for awhile now. As I enter I hear a voice speak up it sounding familiar. "Welcome to fever dream cafe how can I help you?" The person then turns around I seeing it's the omega from last night he giving me a surprised look. "Hey it's you! Thanks again for last night I really appreciate it." I give him a blank look before ordering a coffee and muffin. Before I can even reach for my wallet though he's suddenly putting money in the register he giving me a reassuring smile. "I got it. Consider it as a thank you." I give a firm but appreciative nod before taking my coffee and muffin then head straight for the door. As I leave the cafe I turn a corner before peeking my head around the wall quickly eating my muffin and drink my coffee. Once I'm finished I watch the cafe door opening and out walks the omega he checking the time then immediately starts running. I quickly throw my trash away in a nearby bin before I follow the young omega staying on his tail but make sure not to be seen. He soon stops in front of a convenience store and I watch as he rushes inside disappearing for a second before coming back with an apron on. Staying a good distance away but where I can still see I watch him going through the store cleaning and stocking the shelves doing little dances while he's working. I watch with an amused smile a little chuckle leaving my lips until suddenly a pretty intimidating alpha enters the store he completely ignoring the woman at the counter and pretends to be looking through things whilst moving closer and closer to Kaelan making my eyes narrow.
