Karn, on the other hand, floated to Hastinapur where Radha n Adirath adopted him and made his existence almost a secret. The two loved him dearly and took him as their own. His special appearance made them believe he was divine and that he is meant for great things. They felt like their caste might restrict him but promised to give him the truth and free him from their bond should he wish to go back to his original parents.
Kunti was soon married to pandu and brought into the kuruvansh. However, was unable to start her married life as pandu had to go to battle right after, and he then brought home a second wife Kunti knew she should expect   a co-wife but wasn’t ready for it this early, she however assumed it was because of her sin of leaving her child so accepted this. Gandhari who was already trying to adjust understood kunti and both had bonded really well, kunti always loved gandhari and was happy to have her support, Madri her co-wife to gelled with her soon enough but one day pandu got cursed when he went hunting, he was basically cursed to die the day he got closer to his wives or any woman for that matter and that led to the next stage of the royals life.
Few months had  passed as pandu kunti and madri went on vanvas to nullify the curse and do a penance for forgiveness, gandhari and dhritarashtra were made king and queen and the royal all wondered what would happen to the future, vidur was displease as he didn’t want pandu to lose his post and wondered how he can also manipulate to be able to get the throne. Shakuni was happy that his sister was finally a queen at least, and with that he too got upon gandhari’s insistence, decided to get married to a princess of a neighboring kingthe proposal came.
He was surprised there was a kingdom willing to marry their princess to a weaker one where there was only one member in the family and the rest were all killed, but when he saw his wife, shradha he realized she was different and definitely a blessing in his life. Shradha was a warrior princess and she knew all that had happened, also knew that her marriage anywhere else she will possibly become a second wife or be neglected and just a prized possession, while at gandhari knowing how gandhari was treated she expected to be free to make decisions as queen and so told her parents she will only marry Shakuni who was the king after all his family was killed. Her family knew her obstinate nature and reluctantly agreed to send out a proposal.
Luckily for them, gandhari made the decision and accepted the proposal with the marriages taking place in a simple ritual with only the brides family and gandhari present. Soon time quickly passed, and it was three years since vanvas of pandu and his wives and shakuni’s wife was pregnant, finally happiness was knocking their doorstep and gandhari to couldn’t be more happy for her brother than she already was, her sister in laws entrance reduced part of her guilt that her one decision to say no had killed her family and was glad to have another support after kunti and madri. With the good news, happiness was round the corner, kunti hearing birth of a child was emotion, and having observed pandu, she realized he would for sure forgive her if she shared her past. Still gathering the confidence, she decided it is better to find her son from priyamvada before sharing the news. Little did she know she was to be disheartened, and the long wait to get some response was futile. This was because priyamvada mentioned her son dying due to snake poison and her finding this out just a while back.
Kunti was disheartened and decided she still needed to share the news with pandu and so she told them of her boon and what happened with Karn, she then shared this with madri and pandu who all understood and asked her why she is sharing it now after knowing he is dead, she said she know it was wrong to abandon the child but it was also difficult if to keep him in her life and so it was better he went to a couple through the orphanage but fate didn’t accept that and took him away forever, she then says since her marriage she has been in a battle i whether to tell him or not and this news gave her the courage. Pandu then says he was not only your son but is mine as well, he was a blessing from suryadev and I would be wrong to not accept a blessing, he may not be in this world but will always be kunti putra and pandu putra, all our future children will know of their elder brother.
