Encounter

"Gracie! Over here!"

I searched for the familiar voice over the crowd. Napangiti ako ng magtama ang paningin namin. Lydia waved her hand at me as I struggle huddling my way towards her. I winced when someone step on my foot. He apologized immediately but I just ignored him.

"My gosh, you still look stunning." She pulled me for a quick hug. I gladly obliged before letting out a chuckle.

"Gracie! I thought you transfered to another school?!" Toni's voice echoed along the hallway. I shooked my head and stifle a smile at her.

"You bitch why didn't you tell us?" She furrowed her brows and pouted. Halata rin ang pagpipigil niya ng ngiti.

"It's a surprise. Bakit ko naman sasabihin?"

"Buwisit ka pinaiyak mo pa kami. Di ko naman pala totoong lilipat."

I laughed at her remark. Some of them shamelessly gossip about us. Argh..what's wrong with these people?

The girl with yellow teeth laughed.

My blood boiled at her statement. But instead of making a scene, hinayaan ko nalang siya sa kung ano ang tingin niya sa amin. 'I don't give a fuck for those people who think ill of me. It speaks about their character not mine. What a pity.'

My mom taught me to be smart. Kaya, I won't stoop down their level. I knew better. I knew myself better than anyone else.

I walked gracefully past them. I flipped my hair and smirked inwardly ng mapansin ko ang kanilang paglunok. Insecure bitches.

The smell of brewed coffee attacked my nose as soon as we entered the cafeteria. We found a vacant table beside the glass window. She's busy texting on her phone. While Toni, she insisted to get our orders.

"A cheesecake and hot choco." I uttered before handing her the right amount of money.

"Vanilla milkshake." Lydia said with an arched brow.

She and I shared a suspicious look. We both know that something is up. Hindi naman siya ganito dati. In fact, she would not insist on doing something unless, there's a handsome stranger who caught her attention.

"I knew it. She has a crush on that messy-haired cutie." She uttered with a malicious grin plastered on her face.

My eyes twinkled in curiousity. I couldn't help but to notice his lean physique. His broad shoulders did not fail to show-off how often he goes to gym. I got back to my senses when he looked on his side while talking to my friend. The bitch is grinning widely at pabirong hinampas sa balikat ang kausap.

The guy has a quick reflex kaya nailagan niya ito. He chortled a bit bago tinuro kay Toni ang counter, kung saan nakalapag na ang mga inorder namin.

I couldn't deny how his voice screams manliness. No wonder how he got the attention of the girls here. Even the cafeteria lady blushed and could not take her eyes off him!
