Peaceful Forever [Book 2]

Author's Note

Welcome to Book 2 of the Peaceful Forever series!

I'm currently planning on making this a four-part series, and Book 1 is already published on my page. As of publishing this, I have already pre-written this book and have started on the 3rd book of the series. I'm going to publish a chapter or two at a time to allow you all to give feedback so I can go in and adjust anything I need. I've also decided that I will be leaving comments throughout my own work with little footnotes and or my thoughts on certain sections to help give you all some context.

Please understand that this book is DARK. There will be a lot of very intense themes and topics covered throughout. I've honestly been using it kind of as a way to heal from some things in my own life, so if you are not in the right headspace for certain topics, I am completely fine if you decide to sit this one out. This book is rated 18+ and is for mature audiences only.I will provide individual trigger warnings for each chapter, but here is a list of some of the major triggering topics that this book and future ones will touch on:-Gore/murder/torture (it's the Hunger Games)-Non-consensual sexual acts-Prostitution-Heavy mental health topics including PTSD, self harm, EDs, alcoholism, dissociative episodes, and probably more-Inpatient/rehab/hospitals-Death and sadness-Pregnancy/abortion/miscarriages
Now for the good parts! This series will be a Finnick Odair love story with my original character Amily Tides. We are finally getting into the romance inthis book and I will be giving you all some good smut!
This book covers the timeline from Amily's Victory Tour through the conclusion of the 74th games, so approximately 3.5 years. It's also a long one and is at least double the length of Book 1. There will be two more books after this one (one for Catching Fire and one for Mockingjay).

I think I've finally settled on a happyish sad ending but I can write an alternative super happy ending if I get enough requests for it.

I don't have a set length for any of my chapters. Some will be really long, and others may be on the shorter end.
I've decided to play around with perspectives and highlight different characters' point of views throughout the book. Amily's POV will also jump between 1st and 2nd perspective to highlight her constant dissociative episodes.
If you don't follow me on Tumblr, you should as I plan on posting some behind-the-scenes posts about the process of writing this story. I currently have a 13 page document where I've planned out a lot and give a bit more depth to some of the characters I write for, so I plan on posting those over on Tumblr. My tumblr is @avoxrising
Please note that I do not own any of the original series characters as those belong to the lovely Suzanne Collins. I've taking the liberty of giving depth to some of her characters, but I have done my best to keep it as canon as possible. The story will be pretty canon compliant overall, but obviously I want to make it my own story and not directly copy the plot line of the original series.
