-Amily's POV-

Finnick gave me a sticker chart for my birthday. Apparently the way it works is every time I complete a task that helps my recovery, I get to add a sticker to the board. After enough stickers, he says I get a prize. Of course, he won't tell me what the prizes are, but the idea excites me nonetheless.

I spent the evening of my birthday at Mags' house with the rest of the victors. Finnick and I visited Annie for lunch earlier as she's too pregnant to trek over to Victor's Village. She's due to give birth in 2 weeks.

Johanna calls later that night to wish me congrats for joining the 20 club. She turned 20 last month but she refuses to let anyone celebrate her birthday.

"Hey Ams happy birthday!" she practically shouts into the phone. She's clearly drunk.

"Thanks Jo..." I start before she interrupts me.

"What did Finnick get you?" she demands. She's like a giggling teenager at a sleepover.

"Oh," I respond. "He got me a sticker chart to help me track my recovery." Johanna was well up to date on your recovery plan as well as the fact that Finnick had moved in.

"So have you two made out yet?" she giggles.

"Uh no," I quickly reply, unsure of where that question came from. "Were we supposed to?" Thank god Finnick was in the shower right now so he didn't have to hear this convo.

Johanna laughs so hard you hear a thud as she presumably falls to the floor. Blight quickly picks up the phone and tells you to ignore Jo.

"Finnick has cooties," Blight jokingly says. He wishes you a happy birthday and hangs up to go deal with a still laughing Jo.

-Finnick's POV-

After my shower, I enter the bedroom to find a very troubled Amily sitting on the bed. She has this look like she's deep in thought and I'm hoping it's not the start of an episode.

"Amily?" I ask and she quickly looks up at me.

"What?" she asks. "Sorry I was just lost in thought."

"It's ok," I state as I sink down onto the bed next to her. "Is something bothering you?"

She looks like she's debating on whether or not she wants to tell me when she replies, "Just something Jo said. You don't need to hear it."

I groan. Who knows what Johanna said?
I turn so I'm now sitting on the bed facing her. I grab her hands in reassurance as I tell her, "Remember our agreement from last week?" She nods. "We can tell each other anything with absolutely no judgement. This is the circle of truth," I joke, referring back to our many nights of truth or dare. "But you don't have to tell me anything you don't want to."

She sighs. It's clear she wants to get it off her chest but she's hesitant.
"Ok but no laughing at me," she states. I nod and let her continue.

"Well I think she was drunk," Amily starts explaining. "But she asked why we hadn't made out yet and when I was confused by her question, she couldn't stop laughing at me as if I was stupid." My heart sinks. I had told Johanna about my feelings for Amily and I should have known she would let something slip.

"Amily you are not stupid," I firmly state. "Johanna was just messing with you. She was drunk and clearly joking to get a reaction out of you."

"Oh," she sighs, realizing that Jo may not have been serious. "That's good I guess. I was worried that you were mad at me for missing an obvious hint or something."

I groan. I really need to tell Jo to shut up more often.
"Why would I be mad at you?" I ask her.

"Because we haven't made out yet," she bluntly replies, kind of surprising me.

"Well do you want to make out?" I ask. Her train of thought was confusing me.

"I'm not sure," she sighs, causing me to relax. She looks deep in thought again.

"Do you want to make out with me?" she asks. Oh god how do I answer this? I hesitate.

"That's not important," I state.

"Finnick that's not an answer and we said no lying," she huffs.

"Fine," I reply. "Yes I wish we could make out and do other stuff as more than friends Amily, but you need to focus on your recovery. I also am completely fine if you never want to do any of that with me and you just want to be friends. I will be here for you either way."

"Thank you," she whispers as she tries to quickly wipe the few tears that are escaping her eyes. Oh god I made her cry.

"Can I hug you?" I cautiously ask. She nods her head and I pull her into my arms, making sure to be gentle. Leaning back onto the pillows, we fall asleep in each other's arms.

-Amily's POV-

Two weeks later, Jack Cresta-White was born on the 29th of December. He has Trent's brown hair and Annie's eyes. I held Annie's hand through the entire four hour delivery process.

Trent seemed more stressed than Annie honestly, which surprised me. He wasn't the one having to push a cantaloupe sized object out of himself. Finnick came with me and tried to calm Trent down but even Finnick looked stressed. Boys are confusing.

I made sure to bring Annie a ton of formula and diapers for Jack. Although the Cresta's were upper middle class, and Trent had a decent job, I had more money than I could ever need so I insisted to Annie that I buy her supplies. Jack was going to be a spoiled nephew.

I spent as much time as I could with them for the week and a half after until I had to go to the capital for the victory party and work. I'm glad Annie is happy.
