"C'mon, Chara! Race you to the elevator!" Asriel yelled out, immediately rushing out of the front door.

"Hey! No fair, Asy!" Chara yelled back, following their brother and quickly gaining on him.

Giggles were heard as they rushed through their home, although it ended up being a tie once they made it to the elevator that would bring them in the right direction towards their destination. Where were they going, you may ask? To Waterfall, the place where they would spend a good majority of their day. Asgore was busy and Toriel was sick of her house becoming a wreck because of her children's rough housing, and in the end, Toriel was the one that kicked them out and told them to find something to keep themselves entertained.

And entertained they were, at least after a tiny argument over who won the elevator race. After that, they started walking in a random direction. They didn't have a destination, they just decided to walk until they came across something interesting.

Eventually, they stumbled upon Waterfall, probably the most calm place in the entire underground. They hadn't been there in a long time.

"Hey Chara, do you think our echo flowers are still here?" Asriel asked once he noticed the abundance of echo flowers across the water.

"I dunno, we can try to find them. Do you remember where they are?" Chara asked.

"Nope, but we can look!" Asriel said, grabbing Chara's hand and dragging them off in a random direction.

As they wandered Waterfall, they recalled their first time here. What a joyus time it was. Toriel had told them to go explore past Hotland, and they ended up stumbling across Waterfall. It was amazing, the water was glistening and the flowers were beautiful.

"Remember when you fell in the water when we first got here?" Chara asked, chuckling at the memory.

"Yeah, because you pushed me!" Asriel said defensively, crossing his arms.

"Maybe I did, maybe I didn't. But you have to admit it was funny. You crawled out looking like a drowned rat!"

"It was funny once I pulled you in. If I'm going to be cold and wet, we are going to be cold and wet together," the thought of their first encounter at Waterfall made them both chuckle.

They continued their search for the long lost echo flowers, but the search sparked another memory. Chara talked about how pretty the echo flowers were, saying that they were their favorite flower. They thought Asriel was the same, but he had his own favorite. Golden flowers. Chara had always asked why, but the answer was simple. Because those were the flowers that broke Chara's fall, those were the flowers that Asriel first found them on. He couldn't help but smile at the memory, their first interaction. It's a moment he will never forget.

Though he was quickly snapped out of his thoughts by Chara calling him over.

"Asy! I found the tunnel!" They called out, causing Asriel to chuckle.

While Waterfall was beautiful, there wasn't a lot that could keep the children entertained. They were so excited when they first found the mysterious tunnel. Asriel had accidentally tripped over a rock and landed in front of it. It was just big enough for them to squeeze through, and the other side was their favorite part about Waterfall.

Out of the tunnel sat a small ledge. Water flowed below and enabled an amazing view of the "stars" above. They had used broken pieces of a bridge they found to make their own bench that now sat between two echo flowers.

Crawling through the tunnel again reminded them of the jokes Chara would say just to scare Asriel, who was never fond of dark and cramped places, but he laughed them off anyway after giving Chara a quick punch on the arm.

The place was just as beautiful as they remembered it. And what's more, there stood their echo flowers, still glowing a beautiful shade of blue that they remembered.

They looked at each other excitedly, staying quiet so they didn't change what the flowers said. They could never remember what they actually said to the flowers.

They rushed over and sat on the old, rickety bench that surprisingly didn't break. The first time they came here was a few weeks after Chara joined the family, and they haven't been here since. They listened closely to the flowers, smiling at the tiny voices they heard.

"Are you not scared of me, Asy?" The tiny voice of Chara asked.

"Nope! You're my best friend, Chara!" Little Asriel responded.

The siblings smiled at each other before looking out at the beautiful scenery. This was one of the best parts of Waterfall, just being with each other and reminiscing of their times together. Waterfall always seemed to help people remember.

"You're the best brother ever, Asy," Chara said, deciding that it was time they added a new message to their flowers.

Asriels smiled and giggled, "I know."
