At Rouge's house in the forest, she and her friends were having a party to celebrate Rouge's promotion at G.U.N

Rouge: Y'know, I never imagined I would be going up the ranks in that place

Amy: It's great, Rouge!

Tangle: Yeah! What about Shadow? Don't he work there too?

Rouge: Mhm. He's higher ranking than me, but it doesn't really matter to me

Sonic: I wonder why he still works for them. Do you know why?

Rouge: I work there for the nice intel I get! But Shadow's there because he has authority, and he needs something from the commander

Rouge: I'm cutting short on the details blue. Shadow's privacy

She smiled and then flicked her ears at the sound of a door closing despite the music

Rouge: Shadow! Hey sweetie!

She flew up upstairs where Shadow was and greeted him, kissing his cheek

Shadow: Ugh, what? I told you to quit doing that

Rouge: Sorry, sweetie, I'm just happy to see you!

Amy: I am so confused whether or not they're dating

Tails: Well, Knuckles and Rouge are dating, so I hope not

Sonic: Rouge doesn't seem like that type of gal

Amy: Luckily, Knux is too busy chatting up Espio

Tails: Hopefully, there are no brawls tonight between those two

Rouge: Guess who joined the party?

Sonic: An emo hedgehog? Can't tell who it is!

Shadow: For the last time, I'm not emo. I was just made like this

He rolled his eyes, walking to Sonic and motioning to his body

Sonic: It's just funny, Shad!

Shadow: Ugh, I swear to god, you need to learn to shut your mouth

Sonic: Don't be salty! It's a party for your bestie!

Shadow: Then you should stop being annoying

Rouge: Shadow, just enjoy the party. No brawls with Sonic or Knux tonight

Shadow: As if I'd listen to you

Tangle: Got any games planned?

She flew to the couch in the living room, and all her friends started heading in there, except for Shadow, and who he noticed, Tails

Tails: Uhm, not gonna play?
