Chapter Nine

3rd person POV

Oh my god. Oh my god, she kept repeating to herself in her head. As she sat up from his bed and everything came running back into her mind about the situation that the two had put them selves in. She hated and loved herself in this moment. She was worried if she just ruined one of the best friendships she's ever had. She was so embarrassed right now for some reason. Is it always this awkward? She then turned to Miles how was facing the ceiling. Probably thinking the same thing. "Is it always this awkward?" She said very blunt, he chuckled and turned to her. "Most of the time" he said back to her. A hum sound left Y/n's mouth, "It 2:08am. By the way." Y/n said to him turning on her side and facing him. "Will anything change about us?" Y/n asked looking at him. Examining all his features. The tiny little scar he has in the corner of his eye. His beautiful eyes. They had more of a glowing texture right now. They were like a gold. But somehow also a dark brown.
"I don't know.." Miles said turning back to face the ceiling. "We could always be friends with benefits?" He said as a suggestion. "True," she said to him. He then stuck out his hand in a gesture for her to shake his hand. "Friends with Benefits?" He said looking at his hand then at her.  Y/n closes her eyes and smirked for a second. Before reaching out as a gesture for them to shake hands. They shook hands. "Friends with Benefits" Y/n said looking back at him. Her eyes then feel to the necklace he wore. She did a little light smile before turning around. Take some or most, all of the blanket. "Hey! You don't want me to freeze do you?" Miles said pulling some of the blanket the was behind her back to his side.  Y/n then turned to him. "Wow." She said sarcastically. He rolled his eyes at her, smirking a little. "Night Y/n" He said before closing his eyes. "Goodnight Miles.." she said before turning around and going to sleep.

Next Morning

Y/n woke up she groaned before turning to the side of her to see Miles still sleeping. The glow from the sun hitting his face which made him looking a billion times more beautiful. Y/n slowly got up not wanting to wake him. She got changed and looked at herself in the mirror in his bathroom. Her dark curly hair being all frizzy and messy... Was it best to leave now? And spare and awkward moment? Y/n questioned herself in her mind. But it felt like anyway would end up to an awkward situation. Y/n thought it was best to leave now. It can't be that awkward over the phone, right? They were friends with benefits now. She didn't know what to do. She was in his bathroom thinking all of this. She then walked out of the bathroom and walked into the kitchen and grabbed her purse before leaveing his apartment. She did have class today, it was around 9am, her class at 11am. She got into her car and started driving back to her apartment but couldn't help but feel guilty about just leaving him like this with no explanation... She groaned thinking about it while driving.

Y/n got back to her apartment she was putting her curly hair in a bun. Getting ready for class when she got a call from Miles. "Oh shit!" She said grabbing her phone answering. "Hey.." Y/n said threw the phone. "Hey.. Look about last night.. I completely understand if this whole friends with benefits thing won't work."
Miles said.. Y/n didn't know how to feel. She was happy that he reached out. But did he want this friends with benefits thing? Or did he just say that in the moment?
"Do you want it to work?" Y/n asked him, She was being blunt and she knew that but she needed an answer. "I am still trying to figure that out." He said. Y/n looked at her phone to see it was around 10:20. "Hey, I gotta get to class. But I will call you after." She said. "Aight." Miles said before hanging up. They never really left a conversation so bluntly. Y/n groaned and left her apartment for class.

After class
5pm.
Y/n got back to her apartment after class, to see nothing from Miles. But something from her mom.
