A/N: This chapter is short and not that interesting-
Hermione's P.O.V:
The last few weeks have been mostly calm and quiet. The last exciting thing was the group chat Professor McGonagall made. I'm not sure how I feel about that since almost everyone left and only 8 people remain counting me.
I've been avoiding Malfoy like he's some Covid-19 and he's been trying to talk to me like I'm a Covid-19 repelling mask. I don't know what he wants to talk to me about but he's sent me messages which I ignore and delete without reading.
Today we had flying class just before lunch. We were only having them once a month unless we picked them as an elective. The once a month ones were compulsory since flying could be an easy escape if you knew it well enough.
"Everyone mount!" Madam Hooch calls. Some people were using school brooms and some were using their own. Ron and Ginny had better brooms now. I was using the schools since I wasn't interested enough to buy one.
We all mount our brooms and start flying. I try not to seem as graceful while rising because I don't want to suddenly seem great at riding. When we're at a decent height, not close to the ground at all so if someone falls it would hurt but not so high that it would kill them.
Madam Hooch tells us we're going to be learning the basics for the first class since many people might not remember them. We were going to be playing catch with a ball, to learn how to balance on the broom, which I found to be a little stupid but whatever i guess. Soon the ball was being passed around and people realised that their balance wasn't the best but they were able to keep on the broom. We slowly floated higher as we played, no one really noticing it.
Near the end of the class Bulstrode gets the ball. She turns towards me and her look screams murder. She pulls back and throws the ball as hard as she can. The ball hits me square in the stomach. I gasp as I fall backwards. I fall off my broom and I scream. I see everyone freeze.
Draco's P.O.V:
I stare at Hermione's falling body for a second until it hits me that if she hits the ground she might die. I turn my broom downwards and race to get her. I zip past people and barely grab Hermione before she hits the ground. She gasps as I wrap my arms around her. I straighten my broom just before we hit the ground. Hermione wraps her arms around my neck and buries her head in my chest, I could feel her breathing heavily.
I set her down on stable ground and she let go of me. She stumbles and falls to the ground. I lean down to her. "You alright?" I ask. She nods. Everyone else lands and Madam Hooch is trying to calm everyone down. "What the hell, Bulstrode!" I turn to see Pottah holding back a screaming Weaslette. "Stop this!" Madam Hooch finally manages to calm her down.
I step away from Hermione as her friends surround her asking if she's ok and what not. Madam Hooch checks up on her and then turns to me. "Good job, Mr. Malfoy! 50 points to Slytherin." she says. I thank her just as the bell rings signalling the end of class. We all start to head to lunch. I glance back at Hermione to see her standing up. She looks up and her eyes find mine. I turn away and continue walking with my friends.
We put our brooms back and then go to the great hall. "That was cool, how you saved Granger, I mean. Not what Bulstrode did." Daphne says. I smile at her. "Yeah!" Blaise says. "I thought for sure she was gonna die!" He adds giving me a great full look. Pansy nods agreeing. I look over to the Gryffindor table and see Hermione and her friends just arriving. Blaise zones out which I've started to realise means he's talking to Hermione in his head. I wonder if she will give me a chance to talk now...
A/N: I'm kinda running out of ideas lol :)
