Me, Chris, Gordie, Vern and Teddy walked along the train tracks to start our long walk to back Harlow road.

" how far do you think it's gonna be?" Teddy asked Chris

"If we follow the tracks all the way into Harlow, it should be about twenty miles." Chris said. He than asked
"Sound about right to you Y/N?"

I smiled that I was the first person he thought of asking and sighed "maybe even thirty."

"Jeez, maybe we should just hitchhike." Vern sighs

"No way that sucks." Teddy says and I agree, I wasn't in it to see the body really, i just wanted to spend time with my friends.

"Why not? We'll be there by sundown?" Vern asked, oblivious to what the point of this was

"Cause that's pussy." I said, Teddy and Chris agreed

"Y/N is right that's pussy." Chris said

Teddy smiled "Chris stop sucking up to your girlfriend."

Me and Chris both blushed, wait
Is Chris chambers blushing at me? I always thought he could never like me. Maybe I thought wrong? No. He could never like me, Ace Merrill's sister.

"She's not my girlfriend, Teddy." Chris said through his blushing red cheeks, was he saying I'm not his girlfriend as a bad thing? Or just as like a fact

Teddy, Chris, Vern and Gordie stared singing a song I didn't know and I just laughed at them

"Hey I'm kind of hungry who's got the food?" Vern asked and we all looked at each other, realizing no one brought anything

"Shit, did anybody bring anything?" Teddy asked, disappointed

"Not me, Y/N?" Chris asked me

"Nope." I replied

"Well this is great, now what are we supposed to eat." Teddy said

"You mean you didn't bring anything either?" Chris asked Teddy

"No shit, this wasn't my idea, it was Vern's. Why didn't you bring anything?" Teddy asked Vern

"What was I supposed to do think of everything I brought the comb!" Vern said, even though he doesn't have any hair to comb

"Oh Great! You brought the comb you don't even have any hair." Teddy yelled at Vern

Teddy and Vern started yelling at each other. Gordie interrupted

"Hey! Let's see how much money we got." I agreed

We all sat down in the middle of the train tracks and started counting our money

"I got a 1.02." Said Gordie

"60 cents from Teddy, 68 cents from Chris, 1.00 from y/n." Gordie said, that was pretty good.

"Seven cents, Vern?" Gordie asked disappointed.

Vern explained that that was because he hasn't found his penny's yet.

"Well 3.37 isn't bad." I said

(34. 60 $ today)

"Yeah it isn't."  Gordie said

"Train coming." Chris said and we all stood up and left the tracks, except Teddy. He stood and stared at the train

"Come on Teddy." Chris said
