The pain of loosing a loved one never truly goes away, but over time you learn to cope with it, you learn to focus on something else.

As much as Kat hated it, life very quickly got back to usual for many of the novices and guardians at st vlads. But for her things just seemed to get worse, without mikhail she felt lonely, mikhail was the man that would accompany her to every appointment she had, he helped her recover and was always there when she wanted to do a little training and now, as she sat on the edge of gym she had no idea what to do.

Given her current state Alberta thought it reasonable that she train without any of the other novices around.

For once she sat on the ground of the gym just thinking for a little while.

Dimitri walked into the gym and looked at her "get up" he mumbled as he locked the door behind him

She sighed "I am not in the mood for some weird lesson you've decided to teach Dimitri" as she spoke

Dimitri rolled his eyes "Katrina for once stop being difficult" he smiled a little as he pulled off his jacket

She scoffed a little "I'm not being difficult" she muttered as she turned to look at him, her eyes dancing along the muscles of his chest and arms

"Yes, you are, no get up and fight me" he smirked as he took his space without the training ring

She looked at him for a moment before she stood up "personally I don't think this is a good idea" she muttered as she took off her own jacket

Thankfully she was comfortable around Dimitri otherwise she wouldn't have, given the fact she was in a pair of leggings and a simple sports bra, meaning her scars were on show.

She rolled her shoulders

He looked at her and smirked "come fight me Katarina"

She looked at him before she got into the ring with him and sighed "how are we doing this" she asked

"We fight until one of us wins, it'll help you get your anger out" he whispered

She looked at him not knowing what to say, so she smirked and threw herself towards him ready for battle.

Their battle was filled with rage, it was filled with honour and blood shed, it was filled with countless moments that she mourned, countless hours she cried all of it fuelling the anger inside of her.

Her fist struck his ribs causing him to grunt in surprise "that's playing dirty Milaya" he smirked

She noted the change in his eyes, he was now fitting with her, not against her, the way they moved in unison was remarkable.

Their movements only seemed to grow faster, their hits getting stronger.

His eyes met hers and he let out a gasp is surprise

"Katarina your eyes" he whispered grabbing her arm as she went to hit him, she frowned a little "what" she mumbled

"Milaya they're golden" he whispered as his hand cupped her cheek gently as his fingers ran over her cheek

She frowned and looked in the mirror behind them and gasped softly

She walked over to the mirror and looked at her eyes, the gold dances around her eyes

She looked back to Dimitri, the wonder in his eyes "you can't tell anyone" she whispered

His frown deepened making him look older

"What do you mean" he asked as he took a small step towards her

She backed up instantly making him freeze in his movements
