Rani started running blindly, following Kion's roar. She would finally see him again after all these years. Tears of joy streamed down her muzzle.

Nandi ran after her, "Rani! Rani where are we going!"

Rani quickly halted. She was staring at a lioness. Nandi looked in her direction. The lioness was hunting.

"Zena..." Rani growled.

"What? Who's Zena?" Nandi asked.

Rani roared and charged toward Zena. She punched her face. Zena collapsed to the ground. Rani snarled and walked towards her. Zena stood up and lunged at her. Rani dodged and smashed Zena against a rock, "Tell me where Kion is!"

Zena got out of her grasp and scratched Rani's face, "He's in the Lioness Pride. Queen Amirah took him in."

Rani roared in pain and grabbed Zena by the throat. Zena gasped for breath and chuckled, "He's like her son."

Rani screamed in anger and slammed her into the ground.

"There's no Kion anymore. There's only Plague," Zena growled.

Rani snarled and was about to kill Zena, when she felt a horrible pain in her stomach. Her eyes widened.

Zena chuckled. Rani looked down and saw Zena had ripped her stomach open. Rani collapsed. Zena stood up and held Rani's head into the ground.

Nandi charged forward and clawed Zena's muzzle. She roared in pain and ran away.

Nandi quickly was at Rani's side. Rani held the hole in her stomach with her paw.

"You need help."

"No. I'm fine," Rani stood up, still holding her wound. They both walked off, heading towards the direction of the Roar.

Zena charged into Amirah's den, "Rani's back!"

Amirah turned around in shock, "From the dead?"

Zena nodded. Amirah snarled and ran out of the territory, heading toward the lion prison. She walked in, "Kanu!"

He was quickly in front of her, "Yes, your majesty?"

"You told me that Rani was taken care of," Amirah slowly circled around him.

"Yes, she was."

"Then explain why she's back," Amirah growled.

Kanu sighed, "I couldn't kill her so I brought her here."

Amirah narrowed her eyes.

"I'll fix this I promise!"

Amirah stopped circling him, "I see it was just a mistake. We all make mistakes. But, don't let it happen again." She walked out.

Zena went back into Amirah's den, "Amirah! Is Rani gone now?"

Kion stood in front of her, "Rani?"

Zena gasped.

Kion growled and slammed her against the stone wall, "Amirah told me she was dead!"

Zena smirked, "Oh she's alive alright. And with a lioness friend. You've been replaced."

Kion's eyes starred watering.  Zena smirked, thinking he was going to cry. Then Kion sneezed.

"Woo! Man you thought you had me there huh?" He chuckled.

Zena frowned.

Kion slammed her head against the rock and knocked her unconscious. He then took paint and wrote "LIAR" on her stomach. He grabbed vines and hung her up by her paws. He snarled and ran out. He had to find Rani.

Amirah walked into her den and saw Zena hung up with "Liar" written on her stomach. Amirah knew Kion had done this. She took Zena down and ran out of the pride again, "Rani needs to be killed!"

Rani and Nandi walked into a canyon. Rani groaned in pain as blood stained her paw and her wound kept bleeding.

"You need help. Here I'll find something," Nandi ran off.

As Nandi was running, she met a lioness.

"Hi, how are you?" The lioness asked.

"Not good. I need help. My friend has been cut deeply," Nandi gasped for breath.

"Here," The lioness gave her cobwebs and a strange purple liquid in a leaf.

"Thank you," Nandi ran off.

Rani was on her side when Nandi came up to her, "Drink this."

Rani stared at the purple liquid and lapped it up. Her eyes glowed purple for a second, then went back to normal. She looked down at her stomach and the wound was healed.

"Wow," Rani gasped in shock.

"Well well well."

Rani turned around and saw a lioness in the shadows.

"Who are you!" Rani snarled.

"Name's Queen Amirah."

Rani gasped, "You took Kion!"

"No. I helped him. I healed him. I gave him the love he was never given. Plague is perfect. And I won't let you take my son from me!" Amirah growled and unsheathed her claws.

Rani looked around and spotted some lose rocks, "You talk too much." She punched the canyon wall and the rocks fell down, separating her and Nandi from Amirah.

Nandi and Rani ran. Rani stopped as she heard the Roar again. "I'm coming Kion!"

Kion stormed out of the Lioness Pride. He had the gem in his jaws.

Kion ran toward a cliff. He set the gem down, and roared. He used the Roar Of The Elders to make sure he was heard. He had to see Rani again. He wanted to know if Zena was telling the truth about being replaced.

When Kion ran out of breath, he stopped roaring. Rani hadn't come. He growled in anger and shook his head, "They lied to me!"

Kion got ready to smash the gem when he heard a lioness speak.

"Kion?"

Kion turned and his heart started pounding. He locked eyes with a lioness. Rani.
