The music was loud as thunder; it made the cutlery on the tabletops rattle. Neon lights flashed everywhere like police sirens, but much more colorful.
At the end of the night, the dance floor was like an abused chess board. On it's black and white squares were spilled drinks and broken glass. With the lights up for clean up the whole scene that had seemed so exciting and sexual only minutes before now had all the ambiance of a dirty toilet. The painted on smiles of the staff were now sagged into the epitome of exhaustion and no-one could wait for the night to end.
Chaeyoung sat at the bar on one of the high stools with her head in the palm of her hands, looking drowsy as she stared at the rows and columns of alcohol bottles lined up on the wall. She had a little bit too much of a drink at this night and she wasn't thinking about stopping. The alcohol hit her as soon as it burned in her throat, swallowing the last of the shots that was layers out in front of her.
She could barely hear the music at the point and didn't pay any attention to the boys and girls who tried to hit on her while she was in front of the bar.
Sana kept a close eye on her as she served her other customers, feeling a bit worried about the younger girl and what might happen to her. Chaeyoung had vented to Sana about what had happened on that morning and how she skipped class to avoid an encounter with a certain brunette.
The older girl sighed and walked over to where the blonde was sitting. She still had the look of drowsiness creeping up into her eyes, but it soon disappeared when she saw Sana walk up in front of her, feeling excited as she raised a hand.
"Hey, Sana, can I get another drink," Chaeyoung slurred, lifting up one of her glasses as she smiled toothlessly at the other girl.
"I'm not giving you another drink."
Chaeyoung face dropped in sadness and whines slamming her glass down, "Please, I'll do anything... I'll even pay for it this time..."
"No, Chaeyoung." Sana spoke sternly, "listen, I know you're bummed about what happened with Mina, but you're the one at fault here. You need to suck it up and apologize. You can't just sit here and drink all your worries away. Don't be that stupid."
Chaeyoung sighed and lowered her head, still holding the glass in her hand. She hiccuped as she felt a hand take her glass away from her. It was soon returned back by Sana, who refilled her glass with apple juice.
"That's the only drink I'll give you for the rest of the night." Sana said watching as Chaeyoung eyes the glass before looking ahead of her, and into the crowd near the front door. "Speaking of the devil."
Chaeyoung chugged her apple juice, before furrowing her eyebrows at the older girl who stared at something from behind her. She spun the stool around and looked for the main event. It took awhile due to her blurry vision, but it was soon uncovered as her eyes got clearer by the second.
She felt her heart fall to her stomach as she eyed the brunette in blue jeans and a pretty white top talking to none other than Sehun. Chaeyoung watched as Mina said something before walking away for a moment.
Feeling a sudden urge to go over there, Chaeyoung slammed her glass on to the counter and stood up, her legs feeling like jelly.
"Chaeyoung, don't—" Sana tried to call out to her.
But, she ignored whatever Sana was about to say and wobbled over to where Sehun stood, near the wall, and stopped in front of him with her eyes that was a little so slow and hazy to process what she was seeing. There he stood, Sehun, in a dark red bomber jacket and black jeans, holding a glass of his own, waiting for Mina.
