Tzuyu and Mina had fun time today before the younger girl would become officially taken forever until death do they part. They spent the whole day exploring Jeju Island, taking pretty pictures by the sea, in cute little restaurants and even going to a puppy café.
Tzuyu couldn't stop talking about how she was so excited to marry Sana. She couldn't stop herself from talking about every little detail her wedding dress had and how she was so nervous to walk up during the wedding. The younger girl was grateful for Mina as she spent her day with her, even though she knew that something was troubling her. She also knew that she didn't want to talk about it as much, knowing that she hid her troubles with a smile on her face.
It was 12 AM at night and Mina's tiredness made her hand lip like wet laundry on a cold still day. She felt like every muscle is giving into gravity. What she wanted was to sleep, a nice warm bed and a solid night of dreams. But her brain wouldn't let me. She had chaos echoing in her brain.
It didn't help that she was a little bit drunk, too, since Tzuyu told her that they should get drunk a bit to lighten the mood when it got darker in the evening, but Mina had drank three times more than the younger girl did. She couldn't help it. She wanted to erase everything she knew for the moment and decided to have a good time instead.
So, when they arrived at the hotel, Tzuyu and Mina parted their ways in the lobby when she had seen that the older girl wasn't as drunk anymore and she wanted to go to the bathroom. Tzuyu headed up the elevator as Mina waited in the bathroom. She stared at her reflection in the mirror. She still had some strips of confetti in her hair and noticed some glitter on the side of her face.
Mina sighed and pushed herself out of the bathroom, almost not wanting to head up to her room. But, eventually, she decided to, only to get herself into the comforter of her bed.
The blonde haired girl stepped in the elevator and sighed, listening to the light elevator music playing above her. She had a headache and she felt drowsiness come over her, due to some of the alcohol in her system. She wasn't too drunk. Not enough to seem like she was completely wasted and could barely walk. She was fine. She just felt tired, that's all.
When the elevator doors parted, she watched her white shoes carry her to her room, but before she could reach her door, she ran into her again.
Mina looked up and stared at her with an unreadable expression. She watched as Chaeyoung tried to swipe her card into her door, but she kept missing the slot. She had her head pressed against the flat of the door, almost as if it was balancing her as she attempted to unlock the door.
The blonde haired girl could tell that she was drunk, too, as she watched her state. The younger girl sighed and gave up dropping her keycard onto the hard carpet. Mina watched her shake her head and kneel down to pick it back up the moment she had dropped it.
But Chaeyoung stayed their for an extra second, with her hands gripping the keycard, she noticed a pair of white shoes standing in front of her. She was almost afraid to look up and see who it is, hoping it was Sana or Tzuyu, but as soon as she stood up and looked at her face, she stopped breathing.
Chaeyoung stared at Mina with her eyes widening each second as she raised her eyebrows. She almost couldn't tell it was her due to the alcohol in her system. But, when she did, Chaeyoung had forgotten the language she spoke, letting her lips part slightly.
The blonde sighed and shook her head, remembering how Mina had ignored her this morning, thinking that she didn't want to talk to her. So, she turned away from her and tried t her door again.
But, she stopped fiddling with the handle as soon as she hear the other girl scoff.
"That's it?" Mina let out a dry laugh, "So, you finally see me after two years and you have absolutely nothing to say to me?"
Chaeyoung closed her eyes for a moment, letting those words sink in. She turned to face her but she didn't look her in the eye, knowing that if looks could kill, she would be dead in less than a second.
"You make me so mad, Chaeyoung." Mina says, taking a step forward, "I waited for you for so long, And to this day, I still was. But, I'm tired of it. And you couldn't even at least tell me why you had to go. You just left me there, hanging."
Chaeyoung looked up at her. Her eyes widened as she noticed Mina's tears stream down her face. All the guilt and saddens she felt cake crashing down onto her as she watched her cry.
"Min—"
"Shut up!" The older girl exclaimed letting her anger out, "You don't get to say anything! I would've forgiven you before if you came back. I would've still loved you. I would've still been with you. Just—Just-Why didn't you tell me? Why didn't you tell me why you left? Or when you would? I woke up in that hospital hoping to see you first. Do you even know how I felt when they told me you weren't coming? Even when I got out of that fucking hospital, I looked for you! I went to every place we went to, hoping to find you but, you were nowhere to be found. And when I found out from Sana that you had gone to London for a while, I still waited..."
Chaeyoung watched her ramble angrily at her. She had never seen Mina so livid and sad more than ever.
Mina cried as if her brain was being shredded from the inside—emotional pain flowed out of her every pore. It didn't help that her slight drunkenness had heightened her every motion. She clutched onto her chest, feeling it tighten with every cry she made as she yelled at Chaeyoung. It echoed down the halls and Chaeyoung wanted nothing more than to hug her and tell her that everything would be fine. But it wasn't.
Mina and Chaeyoung stood there, both slightly drunk and those emotion, sad and tired, as they both tried desperately to keep up with each other. Mina wouldn't stop crying and that hurt Chaeyoung. This was all because of her and she knew that. But, she didn't want to see her cry anymore. It was too much for her, so she threw her fear away and stepped forward.
Chaeyoung kissed her.
