Chapter 16: The wonder of a comeback

After some days, Sana returned to school with a tired face and a sleepy body. She looked like a fluttering ghost that catapulted to each locker to support her slender body; she had just finished going to her third lesson when she already felt her legs falling out of her pelvis. She longed for someone to carry her on her shoulders or take her place at school. She just wanted to take a quick nap. Nayeon was constantly shaking the latter's body telling him that if she wanted to sleep, she had better sleep in biology class because that professor brought sleep automatically. They were those classic jokes that made Dahyun laugh and make a puzzled face from Chaeyoung who, with his phone in his hand, sent small messages, secretly, to his Alpha. Jihyo came to the cafeteria later laughing at poor Sana who had her head on the table taking a little nap. She took two pictures of her for him and framed them of her making her the main picture of their group. Jihyo had come to find out about Sana and the dance that both she and the student council were preparing, she wanted to know if her friends could come. Nayeon said that she would come one hundred percent to show off her dress, Chaeyoung replied that Mina was yet to invite her, but she knew that she would have it for him this week, while Dahyun commented with a shrug of her wanting to think about it. For Sana, Jihyo couldn't have a certain answer but as far as he understood an Alpha of hers wanted to make him the simple proposal to come with her to the dance. Not for this a known Alpha approached behind the Beta announcing that Dahyun would come accompanied by her. It was none other than Momo, who although she had had several refusals from the Omega, after the appointment she had with the latter, had understood that dear Dahyun wasn't so unsympathetic and uncaring towards her, she was a kind of Omega secretly worried and capable of making you believe you were less important when in truth she appreciates you more than the others. Dahyun had automatically let himself be revealed in the only appointment she had accepted with the insistent Alpha, and now Momo followed her twice as much as before her. She regretted her choice of hers but she was quite happy to have someone keep her company all the way to her house. For now, Tzuyu wasn't in the canteen and Mina wasn't either, the only one who could be glimpsed behind the Alpha was Jeongyeon who was still tapping loudly on the screen with her phone in her hand. Nayeon mocked her several times but her Alpha didn't look or hear her at all; not for this Nayeon felt a little ignored by the Alpha unaware of her actions. Then Chaeyoung got up from the table announcing that he had to go to the bathroom. Nayeon followed saying that she needed it too, then Dahyun and Jihyo offered to go order extra chocolate milkshakes with their followers as well as Momo and Jeongyeon who followed Beta and Omega without noticing where they were going. So the only one who remained at the table was Sana who unaware of everything slept soundly on the table leaning her cheek on her arms arranged comfortably on the white table. Tzuyu had passed by seeing the celestial angel for the first time that day. She seemed to him prettier than other times and more innocent when she slept so peacefully. He sat next to her arranging her hair slowly meanwhile that Sana's eyes narrowed a little harder than before her due to the sudden light that before her was obscured by strands of hair. Tzuyu didn't want to be intrusive but she literally loved seeing Sana do anything and be ready for any eventuality; she felt compelled to do it, something obligatory on her conscience. But not everything lasts forever and Sana's eyes slowly woke up sniffing her cutely. "Tzuyu..." she whispered rubbing her eyes with the back of her hand as she settled back into her chair. With a bit of shame and shyness, she gave a small embarrassed smile but Tzuyu seemed neutral to the latter's attitudes. "Do you feel OK?" Tzuyu asked putting a hand on the back of the chair making Sana's soul less nervous. The touch of Tzuyu's fingers on her back gave her some softness and less tension to herself. The smell of her coffee often soothed her, was almost making her sleepy. "It's okay" Sana replied in a whisper, while Tzuyu remained serious as always. She would have preferred a thousand times to be like this, with the smell of Tzuyu intoxicating her nostrils and her hand slowly brushing her back. "Are you sleepy?" she asked again "Yes, it's difficult to go back to the rhythm of before" Sana said in a whisper avoiding Tzuyu's gaze staring with her eyes at the white table. "Hmmm... As long as you're okay" she commented putting her free hand through her hair, "I was worried about you and, even if you can't believe it, I missed your presence" Tzuyu said bravely as his eyes tried to meet those of Sana who shyly hoped not to look at her. The strength of her smell gradually increased, Sana breathed calmly as Tzuyu waited for an answer or even a simple gesture. "I understand... I thank you for everything... You know, for what you did, for me.." she said with a stammer at the end of the word. Tzuyu found it adorable. She tried to be as calm as possible and not try to hug that cute and shy Omega. "Hey, what are you two doing?" Jihyo asked with a smile on his lips as he carried a bag of chips with one hand, "Nothing! Really!" Sana panicked as she stared at Dahyun and Momo sitting next to each other. Dahyun had empty hands and angrily refused to look at Momo who had just handed him a chocolate frappe and a chocolate bar with almonds. They were two of Dahyun's favorite things but for now she seemed against this food, "Don't think about it, she's upset because Momo paid him the frappe she chose and on top of that she bought him this chocolate almond bar. She's always so whiny and mean to Momo," said Jeongyeon placing the phone on the table while staring at her sourly. "You shut up. Now that your phone is dead are you going to piss me off?" Dahyun asked with an always annoyed air; Jeongyeon angrily raised her eyebrow in order to get up from her chair and lash out against her, normally she was always calm but when her device went off at the most beautiful moment of the match she became quite restless, however Momo was next to the angry Omega and was already alarming her that if she even touched Dahyun she would die like her phone. So the two stared at each other for a few seconds to then give Jeongyeon the chance to go wild against her friend's phone as well as Tzuyu, who strangely didn't have any screen locks, and having installed the game on it several days ago for the same reason, she started playing it knowing that the Alpha wouldn't say anything. "Are you still sleepy Sana?" Jihyo asked with a small chuckle as Sana swayed her head from right to left. Tzuyu wondered why Sana was so sleepy; certainly the change of time and the strange awakes in the heat period could be different from the usual days and daily routines, but this great heaviness and haste in sleeping worried her. Perhaps she had gone overboard on painkillers or pills that eased her state at least for today so that she slowly got back into her daily routine. "It's hard to get back to your state after period" Dahyun said casually as she grabbed the frappe with dislike, Momo smiled her way and then squeezed Omega's shoulders making her calm down by increasing her cinnamon cigar flavor. "Why don't you go home?" Jihyo asked seeing that Sana slowly slumped down on the chair due to the imbalance of her body, "My parents aren't at home. I'm on a trip to Busan" Sana replied sniffling as she struggled to get back on the chair with the help of Tzuyu who grabbed her shoulders. "Are you alone after your heat at home?" a voice asked from behind. Chaeyoung was quite shocked at the news as Nayeon grinned mischievously at Tzuyu's hands snaked behind the seat of Sana's chair. "In fact, you need to be taken care of right now, it's your most fragile and softest state" Dahyun said shrugging seeing Sana stagger once again, "It was really important for my parents, they said they would come as soon as possible, but... They can't until tomorrow" Sana replied once again trying to open her eyes. "That's what an Alpha of your own is for. Mina always looks after my heat," Chaeyoung said proudly. Tzuyu wanted to ask for her help but that would be too weird for the Omegas around the table, but Sana looked so frail at the moment, she wanted to take care of her no matter what. "How about my house? I have at my disposal every comfort or thing you want, especially the maids..." Tzuyu commented taking courage, Sana turned to her side with embarrassment, "You're right! Well done, Tzuyu, today Sana will go to your house" Nayeon said giving a pat on the Alpha's shoulder, confirming the Alpha's invitation for her friend.
